This Dobbs is an archetypal late '20s-'30s hat. Tall, straight crown that is approximately 5-1/4" as creased, 6" open, with a 1-3/4" ribbon. The brim is 2-1/4". Additional photos in the Dobbs Diner.

Might be imagining this, but I swear I saw Alan in a hat with a pretty wide ribbon! Alan yours and Al's images from your respective travels are fantastic.

Thanks, for the complement on the beach pic. I can rock a upturned stingy like no ones buissness but put a true gentleman's hat on me and I look like I belong on the lollipop guild.

Randall - It's hard to photo, but it has a pretty deep diamond crease and a moderate pinch. I will have to take more shots this weekend for the 'Diner. Stay tuned!

Oh why thank you. Although, the Fed is only about 1/8" taller than the average Open Road.

Great beach shot! I wish we had some beaches in West Texas! My wife and I were in Oregon a couple of months ago and went to the beach. It was cloudy, very cool and windy and we just loved it.

Manfred - Thanks for the Dobbs comment. I didn't think I needed a black fedora. Figured they were too "common". But this TWENTY looked very attractive in the listing that I had to jump on it. I do like a fat brim.
