Driespitz, you should lend that guy your Cavanagh, very nice.

Mayser, that velour is fabulous.

Thanks hatophile, I'm really really lucky to get my collection off to a nice start.

I saw that hat in your other post and didn't get around to posting so here it is - That's a MIGHTY sweet lid.

Cheers Rodkins! Pretty awful cellphone pic though. Looked ok on my iPhone, terrible on computer.

Oh well, I posted a couple of slightly better shots in the Art Hall of Fame thread.

Hatophile, Thanks! I was inspired by your green hats (plus the others). Fantastic forest green Stetson 3X!

Great stuff my friends!... I'm especially drawn to that goldsiegal velour... what a color... what a finish!

Hatophile, is that a raw brim edge on the Stetson 3x - very rich color.

Jauntyone, your photos always have a time capsule quality that grabs me. Very sharp outfit today.

thanks for sharing the daily news!

Today the temp actually made it to 69, it tried for 70 but the clouds covered the sun.

I am not complaining after all the rain and snow...

So I thought it was a perfect day for my new Black Cherry VS and I didn't even need a jacket.....

It's another day in the mid-60s, and we managed to get a nice walk in at the Seiberling Nature Realm before the rain. My wife is in her thrifted semi-colado and I'm in my new-to-me Optimo milan.

We saw last year's tomatoes,

fields ready for Spring,

trees that have made many termites happy,

and the first hints of new growth.

Penney's Marathon. As I found the crown a bit too low in proportion to the brim I trimmed it (the brim, not the crown...) a few month ago and replaced the original ribbon (which matched the tan color of the felt) with a brown one. Today - for the first time ever - I stitched a new brown 3/8" binding to the brim (ok, a few days ago I practiced a little with an old beater before I had a go at the Penney's).

Here's what it looks like with the new binding:

Guys, I am thoroughly enjoying the pictures in this thread. Delectans, nice hats and photos. Aureliano, likewise! Lefty, I always enjoy your photos. If I have the decade right, I would say your wife could fit quite comfortably in the 20's. Thanks all for posting.

Many thanks for your kind remarks!

Another splendid photo set, Mr. & Mrs. Lefty. Beautiful botanicals and straws!

Thanks, Dennis. Looking dapper and chipper even in the midst of having an IV heplock placed.

Hope the MRI was negative or without change, and that everything is OK!
