Nice bright, clear, cool fall day up here in N. Texas so thought I'd go with one of my "stingy" brims today ( I now it is NOT a real "stingy" but it is UNDER 3" so is "stingy" to me. Wear a Bushman as your main hat for around 30 years and you get a different perspective :) ) . Will put on the dark chocolate brown Stylemaster I got from John Helmer last month :) Onward thru the fog :)

I've been working my Akubra Lightning Ridge into a small-scale (;)) western the past couple days. I really like it, and it erases some of the uncertainty I had about venturing further into the world of western hats :).

By the way, great show of hats everyone! Lots of variety on this page :eusa_clap!

I've been working my Akubra Lightning Ridge into a faux-pseudo-western the past couple days. I really like it, and it erases some of the uncertainty I had about venturing further into the world of western hats :).

That one has a real Rowdy Yates look on you. (Sorry, you'll have to look up the reference.)

:arated:

I did something similar to my Riverina. Helps channel rain off to the back as well...

Thanks very much!
By the way, that Riverina looks cool! I remember reading about your Riverina somewhere, but I can't find it... I noticed with this new shape that not only does it help channel the rainwater, but at least mine seems to better resist the wind. It hardly budged at all this morning, and it was very windy! :arated: for functionality!

I was mostly inspired to do this whole thing by Havana's Akubra Cattleman on the very first page of the Western, Anyone? thread (and this link actually works). Randy, I don't recommend viewing this link until you've got those Blundstones, BTW lol.

Thanks for the compliment, Rodkins! At the very least, it couldn't hurt the Pedy to try. Go for it!
