Cool enough in the morning for some much needed Koi pond maintenance. The Stephen L. Stetson work hat stood up well. I love to say "Never Connected In Any Way" when I wear this one. Now that is something for our new folks
to look up. I still need to find one of these with a better looking liner logo.

Apart from some foxing I don't see that much wrong with it, Mike. Maybe the beauty is on the outside with this one...

1930s Dobbs "Leisure light".
Cufflinks are my great grandfathers, shirt is a vintage inspired creation I had made years ago by "Natty". I'm shocked it still fits

Late to the party with the cudos Justin. You look fabulous. Love the spear point collar shirt. Total package my man!
Darn near wanted an overcoat on this morning. Dobbs Hanover Square finds it's place.

Have barely been able to see the monitor the last couple of days. Had to have a little laser spot welding done on one retina yesterday. Seems to be improving.

Walking at lunch today with a no-name Panama given to me by friends in Cuenca, Ecuador when down there a couple years back. Friends who'd be quick to tell you it's an Ecuador Hat, not a Panama Hat :) View attachment 132213 View attachment 132214

what's the brim size on that hat ? I see one on Ebay shipped directly from Ecuador that looks very similar. Thanks

Don't worry, Max: he won't be offended:) Discussion has been going on for decades if we should not get rid of the monarchy, but we've gotten used to them and we probably couldn't agree on who should be our president if we'd be a republic. We were a republic once, mind you, and it didn't end well. So, like most monarchies, we imported some royalty from Germany after that and they're still around. The king has a ceremonial function mostly. This one endeared himself to the Dutch people by finishing the "Elfstedentocht" when he was still crown prince; a 200 km ice skating race (I kid you not). Not something to be taken lightly. I'd like to meet another head of state who can claim the same!
Wow. To me, monarchies ara anachronic, but at least your king is well behaved. His job, I guess, is to be the symbol of the unity of the country...
Other "royal houses" have and have had members who behave more like symbols of a different kind of "house".

Went to get worked over by one of my chiropractors this morning. Man, did I take a beating! Sitting here with lidocaine patches on my neck/shoulder now....

Last relatively hot day today, at least for awhile... made it easy to grab the VS Cuenca and a Hawaiian shirt. Art did a good job on this one for me.

It started to clear out with the smoke from all the forest fires by this morning, but it's back to thick again here now.... maybe tomorrow will be better.

The quality of that straw body can be seen even in a small Lounge photo. Take it easy, I prescribe a new hat. We made it up to 95 today, smoke is really starting to bug me. Supposed to be cool felt weather for a few days.:D

Today I'm wearing my Caribou Stetson Pinnacle. I normally wear a different hat every day. Used to update my Facebook picture to annoy my kids. Still do it on occasion.

Excellent, Michael. One of my favourite hats of yours (the marathon is still at number one though).
Thanks Stefan.

Borsalino Ghiaccio today. Stingy brim (5cm): I do have them!

Thanks Red. I had to lose a bunch of comments because it's just too much mental pain to try to make out what I'm typing. Ha ha. I think my vision is starting to clear, but slowly. Nice Stephen Stetson for a work hat.

Thanks,
Michael

We got up to about 90° today, and had high hopes this morning on the smoke but it just got worse as the day went on... blocking out the sun again and keeping the heat down, too.

Maybe rain on Sunday? We'll see, but definitely able to break out some felt!

Yesterday I had on my slightly recreased John Cavanagh, left. To the right is how it was when I got it. Too massive for my head and face.

Excellent. I presume the truer color is the sage green, not the brown. Beautiful color combo with the ribbon, and the recrease really worked.
