Fortunately I hadn't packed away all the winter clothes yet. Had to pull on a very vintage Pendleton and a wool jacket.

ALL great lids, Jeff!!
But, where is Dennis Brooks now? He started out in Vermont, but seems to be MIA now.

I haven’t heard in several years. I brought this hat with me about 3-4 years ago when I was in buffalo, and his mentor the custom hatter seemed to recognize it right away. But I don’t know where Dennis is these days.

Had to wear something British while watching HBO's hilarious coverage of the royal wedding. Went with this new-to-me skimmer - British make by way of Toronto Canada. It came to me sans sweat band with a stained ribbon so I installed a Bond-band and some fresh grosgrain.

Today, wearing a Mayser, stamped 1958. I swapped out the crown ribbon and re-flanged the brim. It's a nice little hat but I'd classify it as a bit of a beater. Dried out sweat band, torn liner film, crown could use a reblocking, and the kindly deutscherman who used to own it was definitely a smoker. Still, a nice lid. If the sweat eventually cracks apart, I'll give it a full overhaul.

Two great hats Justin. Love that there is a date stamped on the Mayser. That boater looks brand new again. Nice.
