+1Nice hat. Your goofing around with the shape is paying off, too. I dig the paracord. The colors work very well with the felt.

Today it’s a not often seen around here brand.
A Churchill Beaver 50. One could go on and on about the felt of these underrated hats. I’ll just say “I dig it”. Thanks Vic. Still lookin for the 100. Ha
Thanks as always the kind words.
Be well. Bowen
I like it!! A real fashion statement.Wore my new (to me) long-hair Cavanagh today. The color is odd, but I made it work with my outfit.

Michael, Thank you! That's one nice looking hat. It's within a few days of being the same age as me. I'm going to have to say it has weathered the years better.
Michael
Mike, Thanks!Love that color combination. The lines are beautiful.
Brent, Thank you!Wow Steve! I like that hat enough to file away a screen shot for a possible future custom. Some hats just speak to me that that one is whispering in my ear.

Stefan, Thanks!Great find, Steve! Its shape reminds me of the misto Topo one I found recently.
Stefan, Thank you! Borchert was a store so have no idea what company made the hat.Very nice looking hat, Steve. Never seen a Borchert hat before.
Ha DH:Beautiful hat! I was crushed when my Beaver 50 in 7 5/8 turned out to be a tight 7 3/8. That dense claylike felt was really something. Finding a 100 in my size...not likely. At least I get to enjoy the 50 vicariously through you.
Thanks for sharing this one. Brent
Ha DH:
Me thinks dis is dat one. Small world.

Interesting results with that hatband. I like it!There's a dip in the spring weather today, so it's jacket and Campdraft day. I've been steaming and shaping again, and this time added a paracord hatband to see how it looks.

Yup. That buyer is a friend of mine. He got it cause he knew i liked it and sent it my way. We should all be so fortunate to have such friends. Thanks.I did sell it on eBay. Glad it found a good home.
What a beauty! A great hat indeed!1930s Dobbs for the rest of the day and into the evening. I'm so grateful that I don't have to be grown up again until Monday.
