RBH and Mario: Thanks!
That OR has been on my head for the last week or so. It's easily my "go to" hat at the moment. I love the color and slighly more narrow brim ( than my Silverbelly OR ).

GClark:
Your Christys' looks like it's seen some action.Very cool. They make for a great lightweight hat when you ( carefully* ) take the liner out.

*man, they put some glue in there

billysmom,

You posted while I was writing. Man, you've got a great collection, and that Portis is no exception. I really liked that one with the sorta maroon ribbon you posted the other day, too.

Thanks, kiltie!

That OR is a natural for you. I love the color and it's terrific with the leather jacket.

Sporting my blue VS again, which is enjoying a visible advantage in the headtime classification.

Another well-assembled combo! I believe you must have more suits than I have hats, and not one you've shown looks less than stylish. That VS is a great hat.

I,ve been away for a week....Jamaica. I see I missed a ton of great Lids, amazing! :eusa_clap
Had some bad luck while I was there, some Ass walked off with the Panama I brought with me......:rage:

So all in all, I'm out $20, plus 2 Lids, very bummed. :(

That is a bummer, Bolthead. I have had nothing but bad experiences in Jamaica myself; I will never go back. Really too bad about the Panama though.

Here's my hat from yesterday:

A mid-fifties Open Road. I've posted a couple of times about it on the Open Road Guild thread, but this is the first pic of the thing on my head.

Love those ORs, Kiltie. That one looks good with the tight pinch.

Thanks, Mr.Paladin.
Yesterday's hat: Stetson Whippet, complete with hideous ribbon treatment. You can't see it in the pics, but it's obvious the previous owner intentionally sought out the worst possible ribbon he could find: shiney and visibly...clunky. I mean, it's thick, and in no way natural looking. But the body, the brim binding, sweatband, and liner are in really good shape. That, and it's a neat color: grey, leaning quite heavily towards the blue...
Anyway, I need to replace that dang ribbon. Monday, for sure...
