Wearing My Resistol 3X Open Range conversion again today. Can't get good pictures today for some reason. I'll be posting more in the Conversion Corral later when I can get better pictures.

Good Tuesday.

This Royal De Luxe Stetson is a recent lucky find. It possesses a really unusual color somewhere in between brown and gray. It varies in hue depending on lighting conditions and viewing perspective.

Have the most terrificatious Tuesday, ever.

Hey Matt: i gotta comment on this color because i have this hat and this illusive color. The seller i know as Ed, had the most amazing, poetic descriptions for hat colors. Still does. When i saw this hat i just “had to have it” and bet the farm on it. A very favorite.
He likened the color to “a stormy autumn sky” which i instantly visualized. I love this hat as it always amazes me the infinite shades it becomes depending on the light and surroundings. I’ve never seen another, till now. Your’s is so pristine, it only gets better with time. Thanks for sharing.
Be well. Bowen

Very nice. I dig Pilgrims.

And for some sick reason, I like that kind of foxing on liners. Guess it's because it gives a hat a "this was a working hat" look.

Anyone reading this know exactly what causes that reaction? Is it a form of oxidation?

Mmm... Quilon. "The Cravenette Process of the Future."

Thanks Bowen. I dig that description.

Ed from Williamsburg? If so, really great guy. I've corresponded with him some.
