And I do tend to agree with them - most days.

I'm of the opinion that height and taper matter much more in suiting the face, and that within certain bounds brim width is a style choice. Certainly most here seem to be predisposed to the 40's style wider brims, but very few are actually restricted to one style of brim.

Stetson later widened the brim, for a "broader appeal. I'm used to it, by now, and actually find the dimensions quite pleasing.
