After a delicious lunch (Cantabrian sardines, salad and wine Soave), finally the sun and a cold temperature to be in March I wore this, arrived devastated, Borsalino

Qualità Extra Superiore. Color "Sodio" with a particular ribbon and bow

This is a fantastic heather felt. Soft and malleable, it was restored in Milan by Sergio Anzani - Cappelleria Melegari

The major problems were in the shape, lost, and felt little stretched and with "buboes". The ribbon was unwatchable.

The restoration work was excellent and the medium-hair felt is a mixture of white, black and gray

The shape is typical of a European hat of the seventies as well as the "fancy" ribbon

Thanks for the likes, and excuse me I'm a little chatty because sometimes I'm hanging in your language

Thank you for the great photos and chatty description of a wonderful hat. Congratulations on the successful restoration!

Thank you, it never ceases to amaze me how some drivers, despite the treacherous conditions, drive like they are immortal.
I nearly lost my beloved Esther Strat today. The wind took it and I just caught it before it went flying into the melting snow.
Not being critical of those who like caps, but they are just not for me. However, my missus has bought one for me to wear next weekend when we are off to Peaky Blinders dinner/dance. Don't tell anyone, but after nearly losing one of my favourite titfers, (tit for tat, hat,) I plonked the cap on.

You can wait until i'm all dressed up next Saturday, before you see me wearing it.
Anti lock brakes, airbags and traction control give a lot of people a false sense of security, I guess.

In gusty winds a cap is fine alternative (but I'm hardly objective[emoji16])

I'm looking forward to what'll undoubtedly be a fine outfit and I'm sure you'll look great in a cap. Just be careful with those razor blades [emoji3]

Taking a break from writing to go to the shoulder doctor. The wife gets tired of my whining about the pain. Cortizone shot in the old decrepit bursa joint. :(
Today's European is a Lees of London dark blue 2" brim. This hat is being forced into a snap brim from it's original form of a upturned curled "homburgesque" one. Super felt and a cool bordello liner.

Hope the shoulders gets better soon. Very nice hat. Love that shade of blue.

Fantastic lines and cool liner. Nice one Richard.

Started off the morning under this 3X Stetson

And in my Swedish Army tunic

But after hanging around the cold yard for awhile I decided maybe I wanted to get out on the bike.

So I swapped the Swedish coat for a Swedish cap

And the American hat for an American coat, in the form of a Filson Double Mac

Now maybe I'm ready to face the morning.

Love the furry. I need a filson, wish I could find one in my size.

'40s Game Bird for the rainy vernal equinox.

Happy Tuesday.

Holding up well in the downpour Matt. Is tonight the night to run around barking at the moon? Happy Spring.

A vtg.Lee Commander out for a dog walk in the lightly falling snow this morning. Lovely green felt and unique edge treatment to this 50's hat. The compenents and workmanship are excellent.

(Under-brim shot: No marks or scars on the felt other than the dampness from the tree limbs and snow. Morning light hides the green hues on this pic.)

Best, Eric -
Your collection of hats is stunning, Eric.
