Knox crease

What's the back of that crease look like Perry? I saw an old western that had a cowboy wearing a hat with a similar front dent, but the back was a center-fire crease (the Mullet of hats?). Probably going to try that on a hat that hasn't spoken to me yet (so I never wear it).
Thanks guys. Above is the crease from the top view. Thanks Mike.
I'm thinking about getting it blocked for more crease versatility. But I am pleased to have it as it is.
The porkpie seems to be one of the red-headed step-children around the Lounge. Certainly, not strongly disliked (like the trilby seems to be), but just kind of... well... neglected.
When I put one on, it is a look that takes me a little getting used to. That's especially true for wearing it with the brim up. I'll never be able to kill the look like Michael, but it's another fun way to try to try something different.
Those are both great looking hats. And your clothes fit them to a T. The porkpie is a great look for you. That punch in the crown of that pretty hat is very cool. Beautiful derby. The fancy liner is a great design element.
Mordern Stetson Inwood in Caribou, bashed to pork pie diamond, by me. It's the same hat that's in my avatar pic (avatar is the original bash)
that is a fine heathered hat there Matt. When this '50s Royal Stetson came to me a couple months ago, it arrived with a very mushy open crown. I decided that I needed to have it reblocked and set it aside.
Last night I tried to steam it to see if I could get it to behave. I just couldn't get it right. There is a photo of the awful results below.
I wore the hat when I met with a friend last evening all the while fidgeting with it and apologizing to my friend for my inability to stop obsessing over it. He agreed that despite my every effort, something was off. Eventually, I stopped trying to force the felt and just started to let it go where it naturally wanted to go.
It is now obvious why a tear drop and center dent would not work. It's been a pork pie for a long, long time.
Really pretty blues and reds in the felt.
Have the great Friday.

That hat alone is cause for celebration.
