Borsalino probably late 1930s early 1940s. This one has the separate size stamp and was from the Simeon Zlateff Sofia find of about 10 years ago.

I can't stop looking at that hat. I presume the ribbon is original?

And what Charlie said.

An early morning conference call meant I didn’t get to post today’s hat.

Catching up with my navy blue Gannon as I was leaving for work earlier.

Hey folks!
It's the Ècuyer & Thomas for Motsch Fils today. Hard to walk by this one without feeling it, let alone putting it on.

I sure like the lines on that one John. It does look very touchable.

Thanks everyone for the recent likes and comments. Apologies for not getting around to responding to each comment. Maybe I can catch up soon. The Dorer accompanies me as I head out into the recently returned winter weather.

Very nice looking Stetsonian Jim. The color really works.

The world is a better place with this beauty Matt. Gotta get me one of those...

Good to see you Adrian! Great lines and snap on that Borsalino.

Very sharp Perry. Another interesting brand of hat from the past!

Nice lines and hat band on this one Bob.

I just love this hat Richard. Still kicking myself for not scooping it up.

Haven't seen the Grafton in a while Michael. It is one fine hat for sure. Spring is just around the color.

Love those colors Jay. Very inspiring.

Stay safe Charlie. At least you will make a good looking snowman if you go outside. Been watching the news and thinking about you guys.
Thanks Mike, I glad you stayed on the sidelines for this one. I'm really enjoying it.

Alright... First things first: I kinda think that I'm too... well... "portly" to wear a trilby or stingy brim (whatever term you prefer). Today I don't care. I'm channeling my inner thin guy.

I suppose that someone may have brutalized this hat and converted it to a trilby. That was my initial thought, but the more I look at the brim stitching and wear on the edge of the overwelted felt, the less confident I am about that. There are threads on the Lounge noting that very narrow brim hats were offered much earlier than the 1960s. So it's kind of intriguing.

Regardless... nothing I can do about its trilbytude so I'm gonna love it anyway. It ain't the hat's fault if it was mutilated.

This Stack in "Bahama Blue" showed up on eBay as a "Buy It Now" earlier this week. It is a model without the nifty cushion venting system. The Mac Lachlan felt is some of the nicest I've ever laid my hands on.

Have a Therrific Thursday.
