Thanks Red. It's an Amana Woolen Mills jacket that was made about 15 miles down the road during the '60s or '70s.

Thanks Scotty. It's from my last small set of local hat buys last autumn or early winter. I kept the same hat, but tried some different clothes this afternoon.

I wanted to see what sort of adjustments this tweed 3 piece might need.

Thanks all,
Michael
Excellent looking suit, Michael. Doesn't need much to my eye. Sleeves are a tad long maybe.

Hey all!
This 1978 Borsalino Torino rides up top as I head to the store for birthday cards for Grandma (95) and my older niece(14).

Mike, Thank you! Robert (RLK) also has some P. & C. Habig Wien Dress Soft Felts with "Ventilo". Most of the other examples here are P. & C. Habig Wien Trachten style hats with "Ventilo". You can see what it look likes in the following photo taken by Manfred (P. & C. Habig Wien Trachten style hat).

Cool to see the construction, but it does look like a lot of work. And the benefits probably unsure...

I didn’t realize she works with straw. Fantastic look. I like that pinch.

Happy that your rehab has gone well. You have to love Esther's creations.

And looking sharp! Good to see you out and about!

Good to see you back! Nice sharp crease in that straw.

She does, I am the proud owner of an Anthracite Sisal from Esther, my favorite straw..

Good to see you upright good sir! Love that Belgian straw, perfect look. Have some fun, you deserve it.
Great to see you back up and around.
Great looking hat. And I always love the classic, vintage vibe that you bring.

What a warm welcome guys, grateful thanks. We had a wonderful day but not without incident. When you you have your hat on it's easy to forget that it's a straw, the wind got hold of it and sent it across the car park, a passer-bye rescued it, thankfully, no damage done. Tina, my wife, wouldn't let me do much dancing, but I had a lot of fun catching up with old friends, all keen to nag me. "Don't forget to keep up with your exercises!"

Bill, Esther works her magic with straw superbly. She made this particular hat to a specification that I had asked for. This shirt, that Tina made for me, has a rich, red colour that I love. It needed a hat to compliment it, my hat fairy did just that.
All in all a great day, I had a pair of gibson shoes replaced and the hip ached a bit but nothing more than was to be expected.
Just for Bill, here's that hat and shirt.

That’s just outstanding. I wish Esther was based in the States. It would be awesome to visit her at work to witness the magic. Who knows, maybe one day.

Well, I can't like that post. Sorry to hear of your bad luck, Terry. Hopefully, it's all back in order and drying out now. The rain's supposed to tail off tomorrow, I think.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Thanks Jim. The new pump works like a charm. I bought one that had a little more power than the one that went bad. Unfortunately, though, the water backed up into the finished area of our basement. So, some wet vaccing there and I turned on some fans to dry it out. Taking some wet things out to the trash so probably no hat pics for me today.

Thanks Scuttle.

Well, I, for one, will encourage you to go for it!
I will, eventually.

Early to mid 1950s Knox Premier Stratoliner clone. Since it is not a "real" Strat, it sports a vintage Lockheed Constellation hat pin.

Mighty fine hat there, Red.

Really spiffy looking suit Michael. Nice tweed.
Thanks Red. It's a Southwick that is probably from the latish 1960s.

Excellent looking suit, Michael. Doesn't need much to my eye. Sleeves are a tad long maybe.
Thanks steur. That's my take on the sleeves too. I had thought the pants were a bit long too, but they didn't seem so yesterday. I'll have to try them with some regular shoes and not the boots and make sure. I want to get this one in shape for early spring wear.

Thanks all,
Michael

Good to have a pump you can rely on. Sorry about the the wet stuff being lost. We don't have many basements here in Oregon, but we sure have the rain. Summer is on the way.

Beautiful color Bob. A treat to behold.

A chilly morning, but something of a warmup is starting. Stetson, my oldest

The store that sold this one seems to have closed circa 1918.

That derby has great lines, love the curl and crown Michael. That jacket is a dream too, wish I could find one in my size.

Limestone VS 2-3/4x6 with plenty of flange in the brim, so I like it best brim up.

Very sweet color Jack. It does look just right with the brim up. Impressive.
