Then the hat has to go. Can't part with the Duke.I have to agree, that color just doesn't go with the John Wayne mug.

Thanks Steven! That is a nice hat and knowingly the history is very neat.

He obviously meant that the Duke and I could have passed for twins. Are you talking about the mug he's holding our are you saying he looks like John Wayne?

prized example for me, due to it being sold in nevada
Love that color!Echt Velour "Quality Velour Seal" probably mid to late 1930s and a recent arrival.
If you only had one hat...this would be just right. Keep showing it to us.Gannon in Powder Blue. Again

Such a legacy hat Alan. Wear it with honor. An old Borsalino I purchased and gave to my dad many years ago. It's a little small for me but with a gentle stretch I can wear it. From the Zlateff Bulgarian collection that is purported to have been made in the 1930s and kept in storage during WWII. Not sure this is true, but it is an earlier hat. A very fine velour that could be a cousin to another velour Columbo I purchased more recently.
Have a great time, tomorrow you fast. Great streetwalker shot.Headed out tonight for a little Mardi Gras action.
