That Hückel is looking better every time I see it; you must be treating it right.Hey all!
Many thanks for the likes and kind comments on my recent posts. Always appreciated!
Today, this Hückel Weilheim shades my eyes.
I won't be posting much in the next couple of days, as my tablet has a broken charging jack, and I'm running on electron fumes. I have to send it in for repairs, and my bad eyes make it tough to use a phone browser. I'm working on a temporary fix to get my hat fix.. don't want to be away for long...
Anyhoo, have a great day!

Nice.Colder weather but a nice bit of sunshine. Stumbled upon this hat in the collection I don't wear nearly enough (it's slightly roomy for me, so not very wind proof). Barbisio heather.

Thanks, Terry.Nice.
Y'know, now that you mention it...Are you talking about the mug he's holding our are you saying he looks like John Wayne?
That is a nice hat and knowingly the history is very neat.Stetson 3X Shady Oak
This hat appears to have been owned by Joseph P. Purtell, a correspondent for Time starting in the 1940s.
Since Fort Worth publishing magnate Amon Carter was known to have gifted these hats to friends, business associates, dignitaries, etc., it is likely that this hat was a gift to Mr. Purtell from Amon Carter. Mr. Purtell must not have worn this hat much if at all, as the hat is in near NOS condition.

Thanks Red. The coat could use another inch or two in the waist. Or more like I could use an inch or two less. Been a lazy winter.I would salute you in that greatcoat. Nice Borsalino, wonderful form.
Love that hat. You can wear that one every day.O.P.S. era Borsalino Gorasgu "misto grigio" Angora today. We have 23 degrees this morning, up to the mid 50s by afternoon, crazy winter! This hat is so organic, hard to keep the brim and crown under control, but that is this hat's character.
