I haven't been able to figure out why, but my computer at home will not let me on the Lounge. Very disturbing, once verified that I had not been banned (miss ya Bob!), it allowed me to sleep last night. I am liking everyone's great lids today from work. I think it is my router/modem at home...damn you Comcast!
Today I have a very important event to attend for the unveiling of our exhibit about Oregon State University history for our Sesquicentennial. I did quite a bit of research and work on this project and I'm excited to see it open at the Oregon Historical Society in Portland. So, the hat and outfit of the day is Orange and Black with the Navy Gannon and it's tall 1930s crown. All I could manage were some archive shots, but the attire is the same.

Sure hope I can get this computer connectivity issue solved. I'm going through major withdrawal in the evenings.
Great outfit Mike. Love the Gannon. That's some serious crown height!

It took me a while to find one, but here it is. Finally a hat that matches the colour of my faux military coat perfectly. It's a shade darker, but that is just right in my view. Dobesch in blue (I guess: no label with a colour name in the hat). One could call it grey too.

Beautiful match. It looks very good with the coat.

Hey all!
It turns out that I was mistaken about this Rockel Homburg. It doesn't mind being dented, I was just too thick to figure out what dents it likes. It also seems to dig a rough diamond.

The steaming also released a fairly pungent smell of old smoke. I'm going to go get a couple copies of the local fish-wrapper and try the newspaper deodorizing trick.
Have a great day!

Looks good, John. Sometimes a hat needs a little persuasion. I love the smell of steaming felt I must say (I wonder what the scientific name for a hat-smelling fetish would be).

Finally got the site to open for the first time since yesterday morning. Been wearing caps. Yesterday for shoveling snow it was this peaked LL Bean knit cap

And the rest of it is Bean as well

Today for shoveling different snow it was this trappers cap

I should have looked around for something from Woolrich because most of the rest of the clothes are,

I haven't decided yet what I will wear for shoveling snow tomorrow.

Lots of great hats showing up here while I was gone.

Michael
That trappers cap looks great, Michael! You were not the only one having problems with the site.
