Another nice Borsalino. The Capone look continues. I see you are warming up to the camera.

Where to start...
but I will try!

Great hat Sue, thats a wide bound edge and it looks super!

Anon, that is a really nice looking hat. What is the color?

A nice departure from your Adventurbilt Dinerman!

Tom, thats a grand Akubra! Its OK to go wide every now and then!

Very nice thin ribbon RedHawk, I like the pin, adds a little punch!!!

Stylish as always Mr P!!!!

What can I say Scott but that hat looks great on you! You .. like a couple others here, were born to wear a fedora.

Garret, great look! That fedora suits you well!

Thank you Dee for the kind words!!!!

Hey BoltHead, Mr. Paladin, and Spats…
Thanks for taking the time to post your kind words regarding my Akubra Homburg. Really my favorite all around hat.
But, with fall here…thought I’d do a Federation.

And, my wife is watching the movie “Mama Mia”…when I found myself singing along, that is when I thought I needed to get centered and post here.

Thanks for the Life Line brothers!!!!

Hope you each find your “Dancing Queen”…until then, I remain, humbly yours’…
Goose.

Great hat, Scott - and it looks comfortable on your head.

Sue

Thanks everyone. I wore a similar Dobbs last Winter and getting bored as usual, I sold it. So I was glad to find this one.

Buler - the ribbon's plum, but the hat is brown.

Great looking hat, Anon. Color and ribbon are FED IV-like, but on my monitor at least, the felt looks finer and smoother than Akubra. Great ambiance shot as well; clothing and surroundings.

:arated: Anon, it looks like the perfect hat for you.

The end is nigh! Garrett took a photo of a hat on his head!

;)

(Looks good. You should do this more often. I need to hunt down a suit for you...)

Anon is right - I've gained a bit of weight over the past few years and niether of my two suits fit. With the holidays approaching and my love of eggnog with spirits there doesn't seem to be a slim down in sight.

For now, I hope y'all don't mind the trench coat shots - of course I could always go back to the traditional closeups of JUST the hats :D

Just discovered I'm a 7 1/4 extra long oval, but I'm still not a Yankee fan.

KNICE KNOX! :eusa_clap

7 1/8 long oval fits me fine. 7 1/4 long oval needs a shim. Isn't it great to know what size hat you wear :) .

I wouldn't pay to watch the Yankees play  :eusa_doh: ...

Mallory Something...

I had a gripe about this hat earlier today on the eBay thread. It was desribed as 'gray' and it when it arrived today it turned out to be brown.

Then I put it on.

Most hats take time to feel right, to get used to you and you to it. Not this lid. Sometimes a magical synergy happens and from the moment it ascends your melon it feels like it belongs there. This Mallory is one such hat. From the moment I put it on I didn't want to take it off - so brown or not I love this hat.

I don't know what model it is and I do know it needs a bath, but it's going to be a go-to hat for me.

Proportions:

Brim: 2 1/4 inches
Crown: 5 1/4" uncreased
Ribbon: 1 1/2"
Sweat: Just shy of 2"
Colour: Close to what Akubra calls 'Regency Fawn'
Size 7 1/4

I'm guessing it's late 40's/ early 50's? There's no retailer's stamp on the sweat.
(The spots on the pics are some raindrops).
