Love the finish on this one. Such a rich color of brown.
Thanks Mike and everyone too
I have a preference for short or medium-haired finishes hats, less for long-haired ones, as I like very much the velor finishes.
Borsalino has a predilection for the short-haired finishes, with bright reflections, perhaps because Mr. Giuseppe Borsalino has made his apprenticeship in France, a country where felts finished with short or medium-haired with shiny reflections have had a great diffusion and marked tradition working. As you can see on FL, the velour was more produced in central Europe.
My friend Steve (mayserwagener) has an immense and splendid collection of velours that are showed here with ease
I follow my preferences having an Italian market that often offers me this type of finish and I was lucky enough to detect a good number of French hats (Tirad, Flechet and Mossant) finished with short hair.
I also have a passion for mixed felt hats and antique wool hats, of which I have beautiful examples.

Beautiful color and finish on that Borsalino Daniele. Looks very good with your green parka.
Many thanks Michael, today I would like to have one of your elegant coat to wear and it would be perfect with the hat
You are one of my joyful inspirations of every day because you remind me of a time, quite gone, when the Italian men were dressed elegantly, now, even here it is difficult to see class attire

For this chilly morning the French velour Chamois
Very nice frenchie. I like to know the producer or to have a picture of the interior.
Thanks

Nice shirt. That Alpenland looks like it has some fine felt.

The Levine is one of my favorites. In all of it's color variations.

Nice Bushman! The felt looks really substantial on that brim.

Beautiful liner, as most of these Mayser hats seem to have. Great color. The lines and snap are interesting.

Looks like a nice finish on that one. What is it? Welcome.
Thanks Mike!
I am a big fan of shirts with fish, both obvious and subtly worked into the pattern.
The Alpenland is getting better and better the more it breaks in.

Substantially warmer than yesterday morning, but substantially windier as well. I think I'll go with a cap today. Hopefully won't have to chase this Stetson down the street.

All in on Harris Tweed today, with the cap, the jacket and the overcoat.

Have a good one,
Michael
Great outfit. I understand about chasing hats down the street. Where I live a 30 mhr wind is just a light breeze.
