Another cold one, another black sheep. Yesterday was the hat dedicated to the birth of my son , today the hat for my adopted daughter. Blue is her fav color, white is the adoption awareness ribbon

I had to put this odd bird on my noggin when I opened it up this afternoon. Sometimes I just cant say no...
Cavanagh of a recent vintage. Probably disco 70s, that chicken feather band appears to be original. What were they thinking? I must admit, it is growing on me. I'll post in the appropriate (??) threads.

I really like the shape of that hat Mike, but I’ll refrain from commenting on the feathers

A windy day here in northern Alberta. It’s the wind doing that to the brim. Akubra Federation Deluxe III. Should have worn my flat cap or touque. But I can’t complain about the temperature +5 Celsius

Great photo Johnny! This is what a hat is supposed to do, act as a wind foil to keep you on the ground.

We just received some wonderful images of performances we did recently in New Delhi. Okay, so these aren’t photos of “today,” but it is the hat I’m wearing today! :)

With the FED IV.

I always enjoy your exotic images. Living vicariously through your global travels. You are a good ambassador for fedora wearing.

Nothing wrong
That's a sharp looking hat. Maybe nicer than a Stratoliner?

I would like to be able to do a side by side comparison of the felt, construction etc. There were a number of Strat clones from many manufacturers in the era. Maybe a new collection series to lust after...

Maybe the hat is just molting?
Are you keeping it as-is or will you pluck it? It certainly is a conversation piece.

Being a Cavanagh, the stripper feather band seems to be well made, dense and color matched. I'm sure it was the height of fashion, in some circles in 1974, at the local Disco in Minnesota. Wow, what an image to contemplate. I may just keep the plucked band for "historical value".

What a wonderful tribute. Love that bow highlight! The liners from BSHW are really special. Very nice.

I need to remember to not hold my breath when selfi-ing!

Is it only Wednesday?
Love this Borsalino Christophe. Relax, embrace your inner narcissist.

Windy and cold.

Sweet pattern on the material for this cap. Great image Harv.

That's sweet.

That hat + leisure suit = PERFECTION (in a weird kind of '70s way, at least). View attachment 97833
I had a leisure suit back in the day. I remember it being a rust color not found in nature. Probably quite flammable.

For this chilly morning the French velour Chamois

Your collection continues to impress! Very nice Frenchy, are there detail shots in the French Hat Maker thread? Would love to see the innards of this one.

You too have quite a fantastic collection. You continue to post some stellar hats from your stable. This is one of my favorites Richard. Brim for miles.

Stetson Pelham in caribou. Can't seem to find much about this model, but it is nice and light and still warm on this chilly morning. View attachment 97855
Looks good on you Tom, I seem to remember that this model is one of Stetson's modern offerings. You can search the lounge (use Google with "Fedora Lounge" in the search terms) and should come up with some information. Welcome to the Fray.

Coyote fur hat - it was in the teens this morning.
