Thanks for the compliments babs, Mario & Ronin!

Wow, Cat! That's a sweet Fed IV! Did you trim the brim, perchance? I was thinking about doing that with my Moonstone sometime in future.
No I didn't trim it though I was thinking about doing that.. seems it's not needed.. I have a long face and the front of the crown is pretty high, I think this gives the impression that the brim is shorter.

gtdean48 - You are the Campdraft King lately.

djgo-cat-go - that combination is amazingly complex and it works! Very rich!

Paddy - the Homburg works even in the garden. And it coordinates with the dogs!

Very impressive display, gentlemen.

Wow Mario, another one of those incredibly plush hats that just begs to be stroked...Amazing colors where the light hits it in different places.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Yep. See below. Fantastic soft, velvety felt - and an amazing anisotropic effect. The colors change hue with the direction of the lighting.

It looks slightly different now, as I gave it a new crease just today.

The hat is from 1969, but there is - especially with the new crease - a slight hint of the 1930's in it, particulary with the tall crown (5" creased). I really love it.
