Super look to the Lee, Bill. Stately!

I love this one!
Thanks, Roger! It's the first ebay hat I paid over $100 for, and I'm glad I did! I can't over how nice your new pecan VS is!

Everyone is looking pretty sharp today.
I can’t seem to escape green these days.

I've heard it said "it isn't easy bein' green," but you make it work effortlessly! Sharp as a razor blade hidden in a Halloween caramel apple! ;)

I have had this fever brand American legend five ask for a handful of years, but I don’t think I have worn it really in public yet. This may be its maiden voyage, as I got it from the eBay sales when beaver brand closed the shop. Fever brand — beaver brand, thank you AutoCorrect!
It has a unique little tapered flat top crown and originally a pencil curl all the way around. I may try that version as well later, but forced it down in front this morning.

*Edit: The brim really wanted to stay curled!

I love the stark contrasts. It is shaped just perfect.

You have that crease just so. It looks so period.

Beautiful Esther creation Rodolfo! Love the ribbon treatment.

I'm glad that the general public gets to enjoy this museum piece like we have.

Blue theme... I kind of like that bright blue of the second one. You didn't mention it's brand????

Looking smooth son! Nothing could be finer than this Borsalino Hommie in the morning.

A black hole upon thine head Michael. Looks so nice, must feel even better.

A big pot o' mums, great idea to highlight this wonderful Strat. Perfect Anthony.

The color and finish on this Schoble is so rich looking. 50s?

Impressive straw Bob! I do like that weave on the crown. Cool.
Thanks Red

Hey all!
Another beautiful day.
I love this old 30's Adam Royal Quality Panama, but I don't wear it often because, as sometimes happens with these old pieces, the straw had become dry with age. It was at the point where I was very uneasy about snapping the brim down for fear of damaging the hat. So, today I had an idea. Toquilla is a palm. So is Coconut. I thought that maybe their oils could be similar. So, I got my jar of organic coconut oil out of the cupboard and rubbed a little on the brim, using the warmth of my fingers to melt it. It soaked in almost instantly. I applied a little more all around the brim, rubbed it in good and put the hat in a warm sunbeam for a few minutes. The difference in flexibility is amazing. Snaps right down, no creak, no nervousness, no greasy feeling. The straw just seems to have lost a few decades.
Anyhoo, here it is.

I certainly hope the revitalization lasts!

Have a great day!
