The grey skies, cool wind and rain is back. Here's my Penman Steel beaver custom with a few raindrops on it. Fits like a glove but with a new, lower, diamond crease in place of the original center dent. I think I like it better this way.

Sorry I missed this beautiful Penman yesterday. Great diamond. This hat is made for it rather than a center dent. The ribbon is pretty cool too. Great look my friend.

Catching up from yesterday. Very cool look! Love the shoes, sweater and that Stetson sets the whole outfit off nicely. Yay!
Thanks Red. I just found that sweater yesterday. Very heavy Shetland wool model. The shoes are some old Dexter gunboats I've had for quite awhile. After a week of record breaking heat in the mid 90s today's 41 felt positively winterish. I had to add the LL Bean goatskin A-2 to the mix for coffee in the yard.

I think you mentioned that A-2 in a post. Another find that I envy. I am really pumped about providing materials from our collections for this hour long tribute to Oregon State. There is an outside chance that I might end up on camera at some point.

I meant to comment earlier, but wanted to say how nice the crease works with the color. The shadowing caused by the side dents emphasizes the finish and color even more. Beautiful color combination.

Thanks very much DD. I don't wear this one enough. I think the diamond crease will help change that.

The new Penneys Marathon. I am happier than I look, but am in a mall waiting for my daughter after her friends birthday and it looks like all of London is here.

I was at my airfield today and they are filming a WW2 movie on Johnny Kent, a Hurricane Battle of Britain ace with Mel Gibsons son. I tried to get a shot of some guys in fedoras. Kind of disrupting line at my field all this filming.

Great look, Karl!
I like the diamond better. Outstanding look.
Thanks Bill!
Cool, cool morning here today. Back under the Royal Deluxe OR that is silverbelly or light grey,

Should be a great day here, hope you have same,

Silvermist maybe? No matter, it's a beautiful hat! I've been looking for vintage OR's and Strat's but no luck yet...

When you meet with the OPB peeps, wear your history-bound hats.... the 42 Rosebowl, Lord's and and Slats, etc... That'll get some air time for sure!

Spectacular OR Michael!
Thanks Roger. I've been very fond of this one, but part of that may be new hat syndrome since I got it only a week or two ago. I guess I could also say that the Royal Deluxe models, 2 ORs and one fedora, have been trying to monopolize the top of my head for awhile now.
