What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I'm liking the "dusty" descriptor lately. That "dusty cantloupe" just might be the color of the brim binding on my 50's Royal Stetson! I've been using "faded gold" to describe it...

Or, as an alternative and in keeping with the floral theme, there's always dusty day lily...

Even in Verona is definitely the open season of felt

The rains came with good intensity and the first fall was begun.
The first hat of the Merano field is inaugurated, and it has not passed since the official presentation. It will do so soon

Panizza special with one of the particular bows that Steve photographed in Panizza museum on Lake Maggiore in our spring visit

The felt is thin and very modelable
The combination of colors is suitable for the period of first change of leaves in the trees

final hat in a series of five received from @Daniele Tanto, 78gsm stingy borsalino sold in rizzi hat shop in the 1960s-70s, very maleable felt, classic coloured outside, finely stitched brim, unusual papal purple lining and sweat. Keep in mind i hadn't even brushed this one, just shook a quick crease into it, and the light this afternoon is religious. Happy owner. It's got some age spots here and there, signs of previous assaults by a few ornery moths, but it's got to be one of the most comfortable hats to wear in my stable. Great felt, a full 2-3/4" brim and it just feels like home.

Just weeks out of a naptha bath, it's just a great old hat.
