Sonero, I found both of mine on the web. One from eBay and the other from another auction site. One is likely from the 60's and the other is from the 50's. The only modern version that is similar would be the Stetson Open Road, though the LBJ Presidential Library does offer these, http://www.lbjstore.com/all-the-way-with-lbj-lbjs-open-road-resistol-hat.html. I don't think they would be very good quality.

I don't know what size you wear but let me know and I'll keep an eye out for you a vintage one. When you do an eBay search, check the Stetson Open Roads and also look for open road clones.

Thank You. I am a 7 1/2.

I am putting both my modern OR's for sale on Ebay this week. The quality is absolute garbage. My friend says they look and feel like a costume hat. I agree with her. Compared to my Akubra Campdraft models, it makes no sense to hold onto them.

My bike is fairly state of the art. But, you know, I ride like almost every sunday morning. 25mls, easily, so I really need a good bike [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1]

Some years ago there was a local commuters' "race" to Boston from about ten miles south of the city. The idea was to find out which of car, train, boat, or bicycling to the city was most expedient. I really don't remember who won, (the car was last, though) but I clearly recall that the bike commuter (which he did on the same bike daily) was a similar Walmart bike of around $150.00. Go figure, Serge!

I have a Trek Madone 5.2 full Dura Ace (non DI2) Nice, smooth and low maintenance. In the late 80's I had a Bianchi, Columbus SL tubes and Campagnolo super record groupo. Not much use comparing those two bikes, though. Apples and Oranges.

I don't see much Campagnolo around here. Their stuff is beautifull but very expensive.
Agreed, Serge. I really enjoy my Trek Madone 4.7. Great responsive bike. I just ride for fun and exercise, and it has really kept up great over the past few years. I'm a huge fan of the Trek company and their brand. While I hear a lot of good with Campy fans, I would never bask Shimano as I find their stuff to be top notch.

My Campy stuff is/was from the early 1970s. NOT state of the art by todays standards. The current state of bicycling technology at my place began with a clearance hybrid "K-2" from Sports Authority 15 years ago for about $125. That, and another clearance model Janel are good enough for me these days.
As long as people are riding, that is all that counts. Long distance, short distance, fast or slow...just keep pedaling.
