I solemnly swear that I'm wearing a hat every day. Same old hat every day tough, and going utterly nuts on the last days of the crowdfunding for Barcelona's Stroll with a Hat event. Seems pretty clear that we will reach the minimum and get the funding, pfffiuuu. Yesterday I was flabbergasted when I saw that Philip Treacy had made a contribution, it doesn't get much better than that. I had sent an email, but never in a million years hat I expected a contribution, not because the event is not worth it, but because he is a very busy guy. So by the time I had taken this pictures on the elevator at the end of the day I was pretty happy:

You guys look always amazing... how do you do it?!
Cristina - Hoping you have great success on your Hat Stroll. The same old hat still looks great. And you do look happy in these photos.

That is really great news. When should we charter an airliner to all attend?

This hat is the generous gift that Steve took me straight from Vienna.
In his research of "perfect" velour he has found a couple of magnific hats, one arrived in the United States, the other has stopped in Verona. Thanks Steve!

Huckel Platin sold in Wien. H. Peder was the seller

The felt, really soft, is black with some gray shades
mv29mp.jpg

The shape is that of a hat made in the thirties although to date it Steve is the most reliable source

Clean, combed and put in form is returned to its former glory
These are the last days to wear the hats of velour, heat advancing undeterred

The hat is a piece of history of glorious Austrian hatters of the last hundred years

Thanks for the likes for the other velour presented with the brand Borsalino as maker.
Buon Mercoledì
Absolutely stunning Daniele!

The royal road remains open. So I progress along it in my week of seeing what hats and three piece suits look like together.

No sun again today, in fact quite a lot of rain expected. I'll have to put on my Woolrich raincoat when I go out.

I'm counting on the Stetson to keep my head dry.

Gorgeous hats being shown here this morning at the lounge. Get your tickets now.

Jeez Louise as they say around here. That is one gorgeous HAT Daniele. Wow and double Wow. If I had a hat like that I think I might call it game over on the hat buying and trying.

Michael
Thanks Michael the worth goes to Steve. The beautiful, in the search of the hats, is the discovery of some cover head that you have never seen or tried. This one is special, but is a the spur to find others. Allow me to tell you that I could say the same thing for the suits that you wear. They are fantastic but you have a sort of magic path to find fantastic suits and apparel. In some way you make me want to "rediscover" my italian taste (that is strong and in the tradition) to look with new eyes to "Three pieces" men dress, jackets and coats. That's important. So since you are a small size hats wearer I suggest to look at the European market where you will find treasures. If you need a "native" scout let me know

Absolutely stunning Daniele!
Steve is the man who deserves the worth!

That's a great look with the OR to top it off, Michael! I need to find one in that color.

Damn. I like every bit of that. The suit, hat, shoes, tie, watch. Excellent. Is that a stratoliner?

Hello Daniele, Great to see this fantastic Velour in action! Yes I am pretty sure it's from 1930s. If you have a chance could you please post some detail photos in the German and Austrian thread. I am not sure if I have a record of another "Platin" quality.

Ciao Steve, what you ask is my goal for tomorrow
I will have time to make my usual still life of hats during the day in the garden of my office.
Per ora ti ringrazio ancora di un regalo così prezioso!
