Today it will be my Adventurebilt, we are going on a hike at the local state park.
I only hope I can keep the adventure to a minimum.:D

Haven't had anything new to show off in awhile, but this weekend I've been enjoying this Mallory Premiere I received from Razzman.

RBH, Love the Adventurebilt. Re: Kudzu, It hasn't crept across the river, yet, has it? (Not that it couldn't!) Four stars for your Royal Stetson Stratoliner, and four more for taking it to church.

carebear, You did Babydoll proud when you took her to lunch.

PADDY, You look like a man with a vision, and a well dressed one, too!

Mr. Lucky, I'm intrigued by fuzzies. And you've got one from Christy's, no less.

Dinerman, If you ever wonder if you look good in a hat, just refer back to that pic of you in the Lazarus, beside the red doors!

deelovely, I've seen pictures of Bonnie Parker. You're definitely looking better!

Anders, Extremely nice Mallory Premier. It looks especially good the way it is, without side dents.

I'm still going back and forth on the hat. I like the shape and the random hairs aren't too bad, except when I think something is in front of my eye. It's a pretty soft felt, easily shapable. I just wish the crown was a bit higher. But, for twenty-five bucks, I can't go wrong. I looked it up, the same hat goes for about one-fifty.

I'll say.. it has gone over both the RIO GRANDE and the MISSISSIPPI !lol
You cant beat an Adventurebilt for a overall great looking fedora.. much less an adventureous one!!!
Thanks ..the Stratoliner is a hat unto itself.

Beautiful Strat RBH, love the non taper. I can't get mine to do that. I think this is my favorite hat you own.

Yesterday, I wore my B!Wear blue denim newsboy cap to an art class that was conducted in the country. The cap is made from old denim, quite a nice color.

Only one other person was there wearing a hat, a young woman wearing one of those long-billed ballcaps. And our instructor wore a scarf a la Georgia O'Keefe, tied behind and wrapped around in front in such a way that it looks nun-like.

Perfect day, we pit-fired Calaveras skulls for the Art Center here. The cap kept some sprinkles from my head, also helped a little with the sun when it finally appeared.

Thanks Douglas.. I think that is what makes this Stratoliner look so good to me. My vintage Open Road has alot of taper, that may be the reason the lower crown now looks out of place to me.

Summer is still battling with Fall here in California. Each day brings a new winner.

Yesterday turned out to be a very hot day, but I was primed for Fall to take over, so I wore my new Men's BCF Lite Felt Crushable Water Repellent Wool Felt wtih DuPont Teflon Fabric Protector.

It's too big on me, but I don't care. And yes, the people in the grocery store gave me very strange looks.

Betty, I bet most of those strange looks were just jealousness. If your hat is too big, try and find you some felt sizers to help out. They work great and make a lot of difference. Your hat looks great.:eusa_clap

This is a very comfortable hat. I love the ear and forehead warmers. Also, it has a strap that fits around your forehead to keep it on in the wind.
As the wind blows here frequently, I'm sure that I'll use that strap often. It should be noted that when wearing the wind strap, the hat should be removed from the back. I've already nearly removed my head from my neck trying to remove it from the front.

The inside label and size tag (there is a secret pocket for cash, key, or whatever under the label).
