Today's lid is my Mallory Eagle, c. 1955. It has been out of the rotation for a while. I'm thinking of throwing it in the ring for possible trades, it is a great NOS hat from Truth or Consequences, NM.

I have had my new Barbisio homburg on my head since it arrived from Italy via Daniele a few days ago. Been so busy with the show and history events I have been remiss in posting. It is Rat-Gondin = Nutria felt. It is my first nutria felt and it is a joy. I now know the true feel of "clay like" felt. More detailed images to come in various threads.

View attachment 67198 View attachment 67197 It was warm here yesterday and I'm hoping for more, so I pulled out the Cuenca! I purchased this from a member of the lounge, or former member I'm not sure, named Robert who imports them. As I recall his wife's family there makes them.

Magus , if you can just rotate the picture 360 degrees , then it will show correctly . I have no idea why it does that , but it does . Nice Hat , too Cool for my location , today I think , never know what tomorrow will bring .

Yeah... That's definitely one of my favourites of yours.
I even dig the foxing of the liner.
Killer!!!
Thanks Matt! Funny thing about the foxing on the liner. Normally it would really bother me, but the liner is such a pristine white color that it doesn't bother me in the least. The hat is just too perfect in most every other way for me to get too worked up on the foxing. And that is coming from this admitted germaphobe!

Hah! Yeah... I can see how foxing could give one the heebeejeebies.

My brown Vita-Felt homburg had tons of foxing and for some reason, it makes me like it more. I think of it as well-earned hat character.

Be well, my friend.

Nice pair of hats you have on display today Red. The homburg looks sweet, but the fedora is nothing to sneeze at.
