Thanks Perry! Your collection of "unknown" hats is fantastic

Fruno this is the matter.....everyday is a birthday

Ciao Matt, thanks a lot!

My opinion: there is a deep grey in the blue felt. Tonak made colors and finishing of first quality

Thanks Rogera the man on the garage door with hat early in the morning:)

Mine is the day before yours ;)

Tonak is the manufacturer. It is a contemporary hat made in Czech.
This is the high end of the production and price, but it worth
Bob I have to find some hats supplier here in Europa.......Borsalino is in trouble, Cappellificio Cervo is in stand by and others have not my taste.
For hatters I suggest you to take a look at http://www.cappelleriacabella.it/ they made bespoke hats
Thanks Daniele. Who is the manufacturer? What is the brand?

Another brimmed hat from the "birthday gift"

This is a Barbisio in green with contrasting ribbon, beige, on brim

Felt is of medium stifnees with peachy finish

It was made, more or less thirty years ago. I have some doubts if it was made in Barbisio historical factory or in Cappellificio Cervo

The lining is very simple compared with the hat and there is no paper label

Have a nice Friday!
Thanks for the appreciations for the modern blue Tonak and wishes for my "late" birthday
Yes, I'm again behind the times on wishing you a happy birthday my friend! You have really made a haul this year. Nice color and the contrasting brim is nice.

Thanks, Matt! I have a party (funeral, actually) to attend later this morning. That C&K is just mind-blowing!! I'm glad you didn't sell it, so we get to see it, because it really is a special hat.
Thanks Charlie.

In retrospect, I'm very grateful that it did not sell last May. But if I ever decide again to let it go, no eBay. It is going to a Lounger (so I can keep seeing it and feel periodic deep, painful regret for having parted with it).

I'm sorry for the loss of the person who's funeral you are attending. I wish peace to you and all of his or her friends and family.

Be safe in the snow.

Stupenderific, Matt! What's the brim width on that puppy?
Thanks Jim. It has a 3 inch guild edge brim (it's the widest brimmed soft felt in my hat family). If I decide to become a pimp, it will get more use. ;)
By the way, EXCELLENT wordificationifying!!!

Another extraordinary hat, Daniele! That beige brim binding just makes that whole hat "pop". Just a stupendous color combination.

A bit under the weather today. Alternative headgear to keep my head warm indoors [emoji20]

Looking forward to a lot of great hats today.

Take it easy and relax today. You will beat it with some rest and playing with your hats. Be well my friend.

When we talk about Tonak the eye and touch are committed to appreciate the quality of the felt produced by former Huckel.
I started to unwrap my presents and for a few days we will have fun with the news for the sixty-fourth winter.

Thanks a lot for your appreciation on yesterday Flechet de Luxe[/QUOTE]

I have had my new Barbisio homburg on my head since it arrived from Italy via Daniele a few days ago. Been so busy with the show and history events I have been remiss in posting. It is Rat-Gondin = Nutria felt. It is my first nutria felt and it is a joy. I now know the true feel of "clay like" felt. More detailed images to come in various threads.
