Thanks for all the likes and comments today! This is one of my favorites - not sure why I don't wear it more?

Late 1950s/early 1960s Byer-Rolnick Resistol western/dress hat in a mist grey 7X Beaver.

They are pretty common here...
We had more but my father and I removed most. They were very old and almost didn't produce olives.

Found it! Thanks for pointing out this hat/ribbon combination. It does look great. The shade of the hat is a little surprising. Does it shift (specifically, does it look darker or browner) in other environments?

Overcast and rainy (and windy) today. Fresh from a short flight through the post office parking lot, my Moss Green Gannon. I need a wind trolley for this hat. Hopefully, one I have soon to be delivered from Bond will match adequately.

As much as any darker felt can vary, it does. My general opinion of the look is of a slightly less formal, but powerful, authoritative hat. And, it goes well with a fairly wide variety of colors.

You WILL be pleased.
