That blue Gannon is now officially on my list of "Next Custom Job."

Bob; The blue beaver is grand. I had been very cautious about "blue hats" as I was not confident they would pair up with my attire well. Now after owning a couple blue hats, my opinion is quite the opposite. This Winchester blue felt is very rich to the eye with the expected beaver feel to the fingers. The above pic are much more color accurate. The charcoal ribbon is my idea of working with gray/charcoal outerwear. The blue is a cool color and the charcoal ribbon is also a cool color. I like the low contrast coordination. When I looked up blue when considering the felt color I was reminded it is defined as a neutral color. A high contrast of warm (red/yellow hints) would offer a bold option or accent.

My hat was inspired by David's Gannon Stratoliner-esque blue fedora. Inspiration from the best.

Bob, you deserve a new hat - be happy.

Finally I can comment your attire of the last days.
One word: fantastic!
Nothing more and nothing less
Maybe I am conditioned by Italian fashion, perhaps that of a time long gone, but the latest clothes are imperial
Thank you very much Daniele. Is vintage clothing easily available in Italy or is it hard to find?

I really liked the combination of the hat and coat you were wearing today. Well, I would like the hat under any circumstance so that is an easy call.

Thanks,
Michael

Everyone's looking good again today!

Thank you Michael, it's something inbetween, not quite current production but too modern to be called vintage. I guess that just means it's an old hat...
Beautiful homburg you're wearing today, and I love the scarf!
I think that means I need more old hats because that one is really nice. Love the sharks gill. I don't have any of those yet. I need to remember to pull that homburg out of the box more often. I do like it a lot. The scarf is an inexpensive pashmina from Nepal. Not pure cashmere, unfortunately.

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks Serge. I really like the color of that suit as well. I like the way the Whippet worked with it too. I'm still trying to figure the suit out as it is completely without labels except for one tiny one sewed into the trousers waistband seam that says Made in Japan. It's canvassed and the pick stitching appears to be done by hand. I think it will be awhile before I figure it out.

I was recently wondering from where MC Gannon sourced his fur. Now I know! Thanks

Just call me Remora.

Overcast and rainy (and windy) today. Fresh from a short flight through the post office parking lot, my Moss Green Gannon. I need a wind trolley for this hat. Hopefully, one I have soon to be delivered from Bond will match adequately.

That's a great hat. The bow ROCKS!
I was going to make a comment about the hat's color and my envy.
I have decided not to (but I think that I will later feel "remora"ful for that decision).

I hope everybody had a great weekend! I know it's tuesday already, but I've been too busy to spend time on the forum lately and I'm behind with pretty much everything, not least checking out all your awesome hats...

Fernandez y Roche for me today. Maybe I'll get round to taking a picture of it on my head later.

That's a great looking hat.
I echo the shark's gill praise.

You reminded me that I have a Fernandez y Roche hat that I scored years back but really have never worn. It's not nearly as nice looking as yours, but your post makes me want to give it a try.

Thanks for the hat eye candy and the memory smack.
