Flawless, Robert!
Recently picked up and restored Champ. I know this is not a desirable vintage hat or as nice a lid as most of other members really nice vintage hats. I don't know the age but is my first non-modern hat. The brim is 2.5" and 5" crown (open) so the dimensions were favorable and appears to be light weight. I picked this up at a local antique store and cleaned the felt (sweat?), made a custom ribbon (first attempt- will replace at a later time) and did some light shaping (all thanks to the enormous wealth of info on this forum- thanks everyone). Some before and after pics:
I hope everybody had a great weekend! I know it's tuesday already, but I've been too busy to spend time on the forum lately and I'm behind with pretty much everything, not least checking out all your awesome hats...
Fernandez y Roche for me today. Maybe I'll get round to taking a pucture of it on my head later.

Haha thanks, I've corrected my original post. I have spent so much time staring at a computer screen and typing recently that it seems I've lost control over my fingers and they're just going all over the keyboard nowNo puctures please. Just beautiful hats like this one.
A great looking Hommie. It seems to have slight purple tones on my monitor. Love it. Mo covet!Gotta play grown-up. Happily, I have another old Vita-Felt homburg to keep me feeling like a kid while I do so. Sweet Robert! Ultra thin ribbon, cool.
Really cool David. Love the contrast on that ribbon, but then it is a work of Art, so Duh!Another warm day so wearing my SilverMist ArtLite.
Cheers!

Wow, Rick! The dark brown color looks just spectacular on you.
Same here, Wes. Whatever it is going around I think if must be some form of flu & not just a cold. And I'm scheduled for some OP surgery this Thurs, so right back down I go! Not the same as Charlie recently had, but like Charlie this will be my second rodeo with it so I know exactly what's coming & what to expect.

View attachment 66916 Moving into what we call "hell week" at the theater. Tech and makeup and costumes, oh my! As a Stage Ninja, I will be in black mode for the rest of the week. Starting out with my Christy's bowler that Mike Miller restored to daily driver status. I'll change out of the blue turtleneck at the end of the workday.
