Hey all!
Great show of felt today and every day. Except when it's straw of course.:)
It is a daily struggle to NOT wear this Brent (or it's brother from another department store the Pilgrim) just because it is such a great looking and well made lid. Today I gave in. Sorry other hats on the rack...maybe tomorrow.
Brent Airlite.

Have a great day!

Can't say I blame ya, moe!

Tonak "Mongol" made for the Soviet Union market. :)

Good choice! I love the look of this Brent offering. It goes well with your sweater.

I dressed up today, just because (I guess to the amusement/delight of fellow bus and metro riders). Must agree with Joao that a wide brim does make an impression.
Thank you for the kind comments to my (much seen) previous hat.

Glad to see you are recovered and back out in the world. Personally I find a wide brim makes an impression on anything I get close to. Or vice versa. Depending on the stiffness of the brim.

TOTALLY striking, Christina!! Joao does NOT own all the big brims. Super look; lucky for the other commuters!

Good to know our big-domed brothers, SD! I'm about your size, (an XLO, actually) and feel exactly the same... it's hard to put real wear onto one of those impossible-to-find vintages. It has taken YEARS to find the ones that I have. I only have about thirty old-timers, and I'm not about to get them gooey!!

NOT vintage, my VS oxblood...

Such a sweet hat Charlie. One of my favourites of yours. Always makes me smile when I see it.

Great looking hat, Steve.

Do you know if Tonak used lower quality felt blends for the USSR market? Just curious about whether there were any implications because they were going there.

Off the top of my head, it seems reasonable that a manufacturer could expect to get less for items marketed in the USSR. Of course, I could be way off base...

Regardless... it's beautiful.

That one's beauty necessitates lots of wear. Fantastic.
