Tried out this Borsalino homburg without side dents this morning. I do like the way it looks on its own, but the hat just doesn't sit right on my head and makes my face look too long. I think my skull's got the wrong shape for it. Or maybe it just needs time getting used to...

It's -4C here, so I'm reverting back to my furry hat for the rest of the day before my ears freeze again...

I have the very same dilemma with classic center-dent homburgs. If you bash it into a teardrop or diamond with a bit of rake, and add those pinches (MULLET-BURG!!) it tends to fix the long-face issue.

Take care of those little ears, m'dear! The Hommie looks super by itself, but it's difficult-to-impossible to determine the fit to your face as pictured...
Thanks, my ears are still there :) Couldn't even get a half decent picture of the hat on my head I'm afraid...

Hear, hear! This is head shot territory.
Well shoot me :p You may get a picture once I get it to look right. Not today I'm afraid...

Wow! Such a beautiful hat. Dents or not this is a special one!
Thank you, I really like it too. I just can't make my mind up on the best way to wear it.

I’m in my beige heather Borsalino “Renna”.

I think the main problem is the shape of my head, not that of the hat... Another great Borsa you've got there, you seem to have an endless supply of them ;)

You are right. I did have something between side and front pinches in it before, but maybe I should go all the way and embrace the mullet-burg :)

So many fantastic hats again today, can't comment on all of them, but those Penmans look great!

After a bad trip night I walked on the streets of my youngness

I am happy in the photographs because it is the only way to take off the bad mood

After the walk I'm ready to sleep, but it is too early:rolleyes:

Thanks and thanks again for the positive comments on the homburg Thibet Luxe
Sorry to hear you had such a bad night, I hope your mood has improved as the day progressed. At least you have a beautiful hat on your head, that's surely the first step towards a better day!

Good morning. A two hat day...so far. I wore a Gannon Wanderer (silver belly beaver) for morning chores. I donned a vtg. Stetson blue/gray for a quick run for coffee.

Slippery morning in my neighborhood. Be careful out there.

Best, Eric -
Both very nice hats. Looks like you're having similar weather to what we're having here. Does the ribbon on that Stetson have horizontal lines or is that a trick of the light?

A Cordova Diamond Tweed belt back cap goes back to work with me this afternoon.

Three hat day already then? Some really nice caps on here today. I love the diamond weave on this one, don't see that around very often.

Hey everybody!
Many thanks for the likes and kind words on my recent posts, and especially for the appreciation of my bow work on the Pilgrim. I originally typed "bow job", but changed it to avoid comments from the more gutter-minded among us. You know who we are!
Today, the Brent.
