Rain on it's way....... maybe.
This is a Frankl McCloud and Son, from Reading PA.
Don't know anything about the particular hatter but "Frank McCloud" was Bogart's character name in Key Largo. Totally unrelated but hey..... I like it!

A spot of rain here. The Stetson Gun Club that was new to me yesterday is testing the waters.

I can definitively say that rain is better than wet snow. Or should that be less bad?

A lot of fine hats again this morning. Does that mean everyone had a find Monday of it?

Michael

The new lid definitely works with your goggles, IMO, Mike. Really well!! And you certainly look taller today, too. Must be the shoes!!

Great Hat and Movie. I've been meaning to request my library to get Key Largo for about a year now and never get around to it. Maybe today.

Thanks Charlie. Taller? Could be the shoes, could be the slimming fit of my new trench coat. Ha ha. Ha. Ha.

THAT IS GORGEOUS!!!!

Thanks sir. A lot of homburg wearing has been going on lately. Yours today is special. The homburgs I have at my house have been constructed and made with care. I have been taken to wearing them with casual wool jackets for casual tasks/chores or errands and I like the hats.

Cheers, I tip a glass in your direction (old pic).

Thanks Eric.

Now... the trick is to pour that tasty looking beverage into my mouth over the internets. :)

You have casualized that 'burg beautifully.

Such great hats... I'll say it (or something similar) until I am either dead or senile: I love seeing it when folks make the homburg a casual hat.

You have knocked that concept out of the park. Marvelous!

Enjoy.

I agree , Michael., Key Largo is a gem! Not as good as "To Have and Have Not" but close. In my opinion.

That's awesome. Love the glasses. Love the band.

And the coat... Well... That's KAAAHHHHRRRAAAZZZEEEE!

P.S. I think that the word that you might be looking for about the rain is "goodlier".

That is a beauty. Great raw edge.

Here is something interesting, too. Did you try to sell it? If not, its twin appears to be lurking out there somewhere. http://www.ebay.com/itm/401054253382?afsrc=1&rmvSB=true

But yesterday you suggested that you were going to wear a homburg...
I is sadly. :(

But that RSD is a real beauty. My spirits are slowly being buoyed as I gaze upon its glory. The colors are close to identical to my homburg. NICE!

It was the similar binding that I was going for today, Matt. BUT, since you hit the floor this morning with Hommies on your mind, (OOOooh! That would make a great song!!) and since I work in my home for the most part these days, my Dobbs!

THANKS, CHARLIE! My smile is fully restored.

As for the song, I think that Hoagy Carmichael (music) and Stuart Gorrell (lyrics) already wrote it. Wasn't it popularized by Ray Charles?

Hommies, Hommies
The whole day through
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Hommies on my mind (Hommies on my mind)

I said Hommies
Hommies
A song of you
Comes as sweet and clear
As moonlight through the pines

Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you

I said Hommies
Ooh Hommies, no peace I find
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Hommies on my mind (Hommies on my mind)

Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you

Whoa, Hommies
Hommies
No peace, no peace I find
Just this old, sweet song
Keeps Hommies on my mind

I said just an old sweet song
Keeps Hommies on my mind.

;)

Ah, drinking beer in the snow. I haven't done that since college. Cheers.
