What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I must say that I really admire your look. Question about the shoes (which I love): if you tap them together three times are you whisked away to a strange new land and does a house fall on your mother-in-law? If so, I need a pair pdq.

Today I've had a very fine morning and lunch with my brother, he took his camera, so you're getting a full report, and an overdose of my face and hat!
First we walked through the old streets of Barcelona, past the Palau de la Musica concert hall, a jewel of art nouveau architecture.

Then by pure chance we walked past the shop/workshop of a craftsman that makes awesome aprons and shirts from Japanese denim, who by the way was wearing a hat, Bramby Supply Co. I learnt the story behind Japanese denim and the narrow looms used originally by Levi's to make jeans, sold to the Japanese after WWII, and left the shop with the wonderful apron I'm wearing in the second picture. It has a leather front pocket, and wonderful suspender style strap leather back.

Finally we had lunch at "Circulo del Liceo", the club adjecent to the Liceo (Barcelona's opera house), which is also an art nouveau jewel, and miraculously survived the fire that ate up the opera house in 1994. They have interestingly a room full of hat racks, these days sadly relegated to hold bike helmets... but on the bright side they are still there, albeit a bit bare! (those are the only two pictures taken by me, and I did a lousy job).

Finally a big thank you to my brother Joaquin for taking those great pictures of me, you can see him on the reflection of one of the pictures!

Thanks. The blue is a grand felt color. I look at the hat resting on a stand and can easily think how it works with much of my wardrobe. Eyes wide open.

How about another pic? This is a pic I playfully took early evening. Posting on a friends group, mimicking the attire of the notice.

Thank you!! It was the prototype for a new project I've been involved in (a luxury brand of mostly jewelry but also shoes and hats, handcrafted in Barcelona) and they chose to order the hats with non contrasting ribbons, in tobacco and grey
The lining is Italian tie silk, and I'm particularly proud of that too.

Oh... The days...

Man... we friggin' loved that Mad Dog rot gut. We called it The Doctor. Used to drink it out of fine crystal glasses (just to add an appropriate level of ironic jackassery)... And a cold forty of High Life (paper bag and all) out on the front porch after a long day along with a pack of smokes... Just heavenly.

While they will not admit it, I am pretty sure that my folks dropped me on my head several times when I was an infant.
