Try "fedora austria", "fedora germany" or "velour fedora" for a wider range of results, or leaf through the German/Austrian thread for some brand names to search.

Moehawk if that green felt feels half as luscious as it looks it must be amazing. Does it have the velour finish on both sides? I have some amazing vintage velour cones, but unfortunately they're one sided only.

It is two sided, and an absolute joy to feel!
I'd love to find a few old double sided velour bodies to experiment on, but haven't had any luck so far.
Just one more thing that keeps me on ebsy and etsy!

A. Breiter is the hatter on mine. Not velour, but a long hair finish. They still make this hat, albeit a little less fancy, raw brim, for example. New they run about $200 (suggested retail).

I generally tilt my hat to the left, just because I am right eye dominant. I write lefty, throw lefty, bat lefty, got a surprise left hook (LOL, if I'm not already down for the count), but I have my mouse on the right, I shoot righty, I kick a football righty... what does it all mean, wizard???

I found a catalog picture and description of a coat exactly like this one. The catalog was one year younger than I am, so it's conceivable the coat and I are the same age.
