Probably more info than you care to know, but as of the early 1960s, Byer-Rolnick produced Resistol, Kevin McAndrew, Churchill, and Luxureze hats. It also appears that they made some store brand hats. Sad to see such quality wither away.
When it comes to hats, there seems to be no such thing as more info than I care to know. Just not enough time to learn it all. Thanks for the info on the tie between those brands. Don't think that I've ever seen a Luxureze. Kind of sounds like a recliner brand from the 1970s.

I was wearing a gray Mallory Ten but Matt's Resistol homburg post prompted me to reach for my old Resistol 10X western that hangs on the coat rack in my office. The felt on this rivals my Stetson 7XCB western as it is so malleable and just has a great hand to it.

I'm happy to read your comments on the Imperial Stetson. It is an unusual hat in both marks and color, happy that you enjoyed seeing it. The Imperial lives in its original box - one of a small number of hat boxes that I keep for storage on the top of my hat shelves. I prefer to keep hats out where I can see them and remember to wear them. Another hat that I keep in a box is this furry Flechet, one from an incredible NOS find by RLK. A beautiful sunny day calls for a beautiful hat.

Alan, Fantastic! I fondly remember the great NOS French Velour find by Robert (RLK).

I saw the comments about the Resistol brand, which made me think about a few of the ones I have hanging on the wall. My formal morning stuff is done and I'm working from home the rest of the day, so I took a few minutes to snag some pics.

Wide-brimmed stiff western? Check.

I didn't realize the fedora styles had become harder to find. Good to know as I hunt the local shops and the interwebs.

Lobbia Borsalino in a cold morning for the week dedicated to "Antica Casa di Alessandria" production
6ymwb6.jpg

It arrived from Italy in bad condition. It was sold in Bratislava (Czech Republic)
nr16z5.jpg

The paper label was ripped and it not readable
From the liner it could be made before WWII (It is my presumption)

The color is for sure "Mirtillo" and the ribbon is original like the curled brim with some damage
BSHW did the restoration in a superb way
zmifyx.jpg

The felt is thick and very malleable

This Lobbia (as we call this type of hats) was a big dilemma because I did not know if it was worth to restore it, then color and shape convinced me.
Mirtillo (blueberry) is one of my favorite colors of Borsalino production

Thanks for the likes on the Borsalino Trionfo of yesterday

Love it!
