Today, the ca. 1960 Royal Stetson OR/Stratoliner (there is no model name on the brown sweatband):

LIghtweight and comfortable, it's the one hat of mine that I can wear with jeans and a corduroy shirt, or with dress shirt, slacks, and topcoat. No wonder the OR has sold so well for so long, and has had so many imitators.

I saw the comments about the Resistol brand, which made me think about a few of the ones I have hanging on the wall. My formal morning stuff is done and I'm working from home the rest of the day, so I took a few minutes to snag some pics.

Wide-brimmed stiff western? Check.

I didn't realize the fedora styles had become harder to find. Good to know as I hunt the local shops and the interwebs.
Those are great!

And while I know that Mrs. Strapped and your razor collection are none too keen on the beard thing that you've got going on, it's a real good, bold look for you.

Holy smokes!

Esther – Great dimensions on that hat.
Thank you.
Good Morning! Bright eyes!
Sleepy eyes ;)

Thanks gents. Once again more great hats and Miss Esther shines brightly among us fellas.
Mark, almost didn't recognize you with the facial hair and glasses. Great look with the Hommie.
Oh! Too kind!

Thank you.

I'm happy to read your comments on the Imperial Stetson. It is an unusual hat in both marks and color, happy that you enjoyed seeing it. The Imperial lives in its original box - one of a small number of hat boxes that I keep for storage on the top of my hat shelves. I prefer to keep hats out where I can see them and remember to wear them. Another hat that I keep in a box is this furry Flechet, one from an incredible NOS find by RLK. A beautiful sunny day calls for a beautiful hat.

I like that brim quite a bit.
Haha! Well, I am surrounded by rusty stuff. I think it might be catching. [emoji14]

Thank you.
Here's my advice.
If you love them, wear them.
Who gives a S about what others think?
You'll only hear positive things, I assure you.

Lobbia Borsalino in a cold morning for the week dedicated to "Antica Casa di Alessandria" production
6ymwb6.jpg

It arrived from Italy in bad condition. It was sold in Bratislava (Czech Republic)
nr16z5.jpg

The paper label was ripped and it not readable
From the liner it could be made before WWII (It is my presumption)
9iz4b4.jpg

The color is for sure "Mirtillo" and the ribbon is original like the curled brim with some damage
BSHW did the restoration in a superb way
zmifyx.jpg

The felt is thick and very malleable
2w6bi1e.jpg

This Lobbia (as we call this type of hats) was a big dilemma because I did not know if it was worth to restore it, then color and shape convinced me.
Mirtillo (blueberry) is one of my favorite colors of Borsalino production

Thanks for the likes on the Borsalino Trionfo of yesterday
Another stunning Borsalino, Daniele!
