Alan, Fantastic! I fondly remember the great NOS French Velour find by Robert (RLK).
As do I. Another sigh...

Those are great!I saw the comments about the Resistol brand, which made me think about a few of the ones I have hanging on the wall. My formal morning stuff is done and I'm working from home the rest of the day, so I took a few minutes to snag some pics.
Wide-brimmed stiff western? Check.
Fedora style with a 2" brim? Check.
Fedora style with a 1 1/2" brim? Check.
.
I didn't realize the fedora styles had become harder to find. Good to know as I hunt the local shops and the interwebs.

Sleepy eyesGood Morning! Bright eyes!
Oh! Too kind! Thanks gents. Once again more great hats and Miss Esther shines brightly among us fellas.
Mark, almost didn't recognize you with the facial hair and glasses. Great look with the Hommie.
Thank you.Lovely
WHAT!I'm happy to read your comments on the Imperial Stetson. It is an unusual hat in both marks and color, happy that you enjoyed seeing it. The Imperial lives in its original box - one of a small number of hat boxes that I keep for storage on the top of my hat shelves. I prefer to keep hats out where I can see them and remember to wear them. Another hat that I keep in a box is this furry Flechet, one from an incredible NOS find by RLK. A beautiful sunny day calls for a beautiful hat.
I like that brim quite a bit.Optimo. I'm not too sure about the iPhone photo editing update. Hm.

Hey Paul, would you mind posting a shot of the liner? Great hat! And you are so right. Its a very versatile hat!Today, the ca. 1960 Royal Stetson OR/Stratoliner (there is no model name on the brown sweatband):

LIghtweight and comfortable, it's the one hat of mine that I can wear with jeans and a corduroy shirt, or with dress shirt, slacks, and topcoat. No wonder the OR has sold so well for so long, and has had so many imitators.
"Ferocity," I like that!Hey all!
Going with my 50's Lembert Velour. Lousy lighting for pics makes it hard to capture the full ferocity of it's greenness.
Have a great day!
WooHoo! I was waiting to see your head shots on that one, Rudolfo! FANTASTIC!Gannon in Navy Blue today...

Here's my advice.
If you love them, wear them.
Who gives a S about what others think?
You'll only hear positive things, I assure you.
Beautiful. And the hat is pretty darn gorgeous, too!Good morning guys.
Another stunning Borsalino, Daniele!Lobbia Borsalino in a cold morning for the week dedicated to "Antica Casa di Alessandria" production
It arrived from Italy in bad condition. It was sold in Bratislava (Czech Republic)
The paper label was ripped and it not readable
From the liner it could be made before WWII (It is my presumption)
The color is for sure "Mirtillo" and the ribbon is original like the curled brim with some damage
BSHW did the restoration in a superb way
The felt is thick and very malleable
This Lobbia (as we call this type of hats) was a big dilemma because I did not know if it was worth to restore it, then color and shape convinced me.
Mirtillo (blueberry) is one of my favorite colors of Borsalino production
Thanks for the likes on the Borsalino Trionfo of yesterday
Excellent, on both counts! This is my Mr Miyagi pose... wearing a Stetson Sovereign.
You're well suited today, Hats! Great Borsalino!

Wow, VERY nice!!!!A rare late morning allows me to get a shot using actual sunlight for a change. I want to thank mmbarnes for the inspiration to wear this hat and ofcoursemyhorse for allowing me to purchase this wonderful hat from him. Some of the most malleable felt I've touched and such a pleasure to wear.
