It is a great hat is it not? It is the best warm weather hat.

Yessir.

Y'know the felt isn't exactly thin, but it's so smooth and shapeable. Hard to describe but you know what I mean. I've often marveled at those very old black & white hat photos showing the creased hats in store windows. Even though I have a lot of vintage lids, they just don't quite look like those photos when creased. This one does. It takes deep, puckery dents and allows for great shadows to play on the form of the hat.

I think we need a "carter contest."

It was supposed to be a high of 70 today so I opted for felt.

This is a soft felt fedora which says it was made by Keens in Britain for Halle Brothers Co, a Cleveland, Ohio, Department Store. This hat was purchased on ebay for $15.50. I like the feel and fit and thought I got a bargain.

Here's my Sunbody with the 3" brim. We were on the way to church this morning and my wife snapped a shot of me.

rrog, I think the higher crown and wider brim on that Sunbody work well for you.
Bob, you're looking very casual in your Sunbody.
Ande1964, That's a sharp Resistol. Looking good.
Douglas & Gene, Nice Playboys.
Dman, Nice hat and cap. School's out for summer?
GallitinHatMan, Your Keens fedora is a nice looking hat. Can we see it on your noggin?

lol Good one.

My Playboy:
Crown (open) - 5-1/4"
Brim - 2-5/8" raw edge but with a hem stitch
Ribbon - 13/16"
Sweat band - 1-7/8"

My Flagship:
Crown (open) - 5-1/2"
Brim - 2-3/4" overwelt
Ribbon - 7/8"
Sweat band - ? (I had to replace it and kept no record)

Not sure how these stats compare to others' versions. Mine are size 7s for what that's worth.
Both have great attributes, but the Flagship knocks me for a loop! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Nice look, Dinerman...I'm interested to know about the eyeglass / sunglass frames as I'm looking for something like them.

regards / Mike

The sunglasses are an antique store find, though you could probably find them on ebay. They're celluloid, but not of very high quality. Probably originally from a 5 & dime, not an optician.
