I see, another obsessive hobby,I know it well myself. Very unsuccessfully in my case but I do entertain myself.Hello everyone. I haven't been around due to the pursuit of another hobby.
Oh, the hat...Stetson 3X Open Road
Spent a wonderful evening presenting OSU history at the Men of Roses display tent at our Homecoming game. I got to hold the actual 1942 Rose Bowl trophy! Kind of pumped up on a history high right now.
And the Tournament of Roses representative had the current 2017 Rose Bowl Trophy on display. I touched it. The Beavers will not be in the Rose Bowl this year unfortunately.
Is that over by the spaceship convention center where they filmed Logan's Run?
Dlaniger. Your post in the New Hat thread inspired me to wear my Stetson Lamont today. Yours has a different ribbon, and is that an overwelt edge? I picked this up at the Hatco outlet a couple of years ago. Mine seems to have the same profile, but a bound brim and "normal" ribbon. Caribou with charcoal ribbon. This thing has a great finish, too.
Of course, every time I put it on, a voice in my head says "Ya big dummy!"
LOL! I'm coming Elizabeth it's the big one!
Agreed the hat does have a nice finish. It has a slight nap almost melusine and the felt is rather pliable. Yes, the hat has an underwelt. The ribbon is approximately 1 5/8" and has a diamond link design.

Beautiful Dobbs, Robert.
Wow.I might not leave the house today. But if I do, I will pick one of these three sages. Any one would be a wise choice, I think. From left to right, Stetson Bantam, Knox Twenty, StylePark by Templeform.
(Sage green is such a hard color to photograph with a phone camera. This one is pretty accurate).
