Man, does it feel great to finally be able to hang out in the sun. It's been a long winter here...;)

Today, a Stratoliner...

The blue-gray of the hat matches perfectly with the blue-gray in the shirt. It's a great combination.

Jimmy , I think I told you at Monteagle that my fav hat was your green 48 Stetson, but this one beats it. That is a beautiful fedora.

Ha, thanks guys. I bought this hat from PB last summer for $20 shipped
(ebay auction). I tweaked the block a bit with some distilled water and replaced the original ribbon with this vintage one. It's a great hat for the money!

EDIT: It has a 5" crown and 2 1/2" brim. Here's some more shots of it...

When I saw how the hat worked with that shirt, I thought it was a natural. ;) Thanks to all for the nice comments. And, boxerken -- good to see you here! :)

Cheers,

Yesterday, with my dad. I've got a '30s "Personality Cap" eight panel. He's got a '40s/'50s "Ventee"

So I see you didn't become all educated by yourself there, Dinerman :eusa_clap.

That's quite a pinch your Pop has on that straw.

Thanks, Brutha :).

The day started with felt anticipating a drenching rain that fizzled out.

This evening a straw hat from The Community Country Store.

Yeah, the old man's been doing hats for a long time. I got him the one he's wearing there.

Some great spring lids, gentlemen (and lady)! Glad to see the weather cooperated with everyone and allowed those great straws to be brought into the sun...not to mention that extraordinary blue gray lid JtL's sporting.

As posted with pics on the new hats thread, today I completed my new ribbon experiment on the Campdraft and had a chance to walk it about. The old thin ribbon is lurking below the surface should I want to set it free again.

Akubra this is Huston. We have a lock on the Fed V. It appears to be in a synchronous orbit around The Fedora Lounge, over.....

You are one brave, sneaky, SOB, JazZ :eusa_clap.
