Sporting a Ponte Rialto at the Braves game yesterday. Surprisingly, they won! It was a great day; sunny when the game started, rain cooled the temps around the 4th or 5th inning, and then clear skies again. We had upper deck seats, so we were covered from the sun. I love the upper deck, you get to see everything.

Hoping to rough it out here for a couple of days (I have a "honey-do" list) wearing one of my first lids. This Dobbs Fifth Avenue, Mexican-made "straw" was purchased some years ago in a Burlington Coat Factory Store (believe it or not) as the newly arrived stock was being pulled from boxes. I was in the right place at the right time. $19.95, as I recall, making it a perfect swimming (well, maybe wallowing, actually) lid. NOTE to newbies of the hat world: THIS is how it starts, seemingly innocently, with one or two cheap hats...

Popped right back up after being completely flat.

Lightweight (2.1 oz) Knox straw with silk ribbon. Not much identified - buntal, baku or very fine sisal, I'm not sure. 1940s I think.
