Eric, After considering everyone's comments last evening regarding my new Milan, I decided after all not to go with the Gambler. I hate being wishy-washy, and I especially try to avoid causing problems for others, but when I thought about the money I was spending I thought it'd be best to order something I won't hesitate to wear. The straw hat shown above is exactly the kind that I pine for when I see them (very occasionally) on Ebay, so I'm going to ask Art Fawcett if he could replicate that style. What a beauty, and thanks for posting the pics. Very timely.

Bob; I agree. The hats that you just reach for, no fuss, no muss are the valuable wearing ones IMO. An Fawcett hemp will be an easily worn, bespoke hat that while oozes class and style can still be subtle.

No hesitation in hats is good. Enough challenging things in everyday life. Eric-

Thanks. There's one just up the road from where I live. I'll also see if I can order them online. Comfortable?
BTW, your comment last evening regarding golfing hats caused me so much tossing and turning in bed that my wife made me get up and change the order. The last time I was on a golf course was one evening when I was in high school. I recall beer and pursuing police officers to have been involved. Anyway, thanks for the advice.
Very comfortable. Maybe it's better to save the gambler for a fur felt...?

Happy Friday everyone.

Going with the other minty hat that arrived with that teal Game Bird a few days ago. This is a 1930s Dobbs Cavanagh Edge. It's already been on the stretcher and seems to have weathered the torture with ease.

Actually 9.5. And I love the CD.

Thanks Bob ! Haha ! My ex-father-n-law was like 6' 2" and wore 9 , I always thought , Are my feet huge to be a shrimp ?" I might be a hobbit ! Thanks , I messed with the CD , but so far this was the best I could do for me . I see others that can make it look so great and different , but ... It's me I guess . I like it that way for now , I should say . It's me .
