My sympathy goes to my European friends. While 4° C isn't that bad to me, snow is just beyond reason at this point, Esther. I'll bet Bob's all atingle in anticipation of his new hat (I know I am, and all I get to see is a photo!).
Mark, just curious, did John Galt also mimic the brim stitching you find on Playboys?
Matt, you need to work on The Smirk.

Sorry to those still in jackets, but it's in the 60s, F, here this AM, on it's way to the low 80s. Has summer arrived? I sure hope so!

Back in my newest hat this morning, Borsalino Alessandria...

I think that Borsa's one of your nicest and yes I'm all tingly waiting for Esthers hat.

Wow! Great job on that!!
Thanks Esther. It was one of my better efforts. I have another one under the needle now, but the needle has been moving very slowly.

hatophile - Being a stingy brim helps, but there is something about this Dobbs that makes it set on my head like it was glued on while at the same time being not the least bit tight or heavy. I'm just back from my ride (with the sweat to prove it) and it wasn't even fazed when I was going 23 mph downhill into an 18 mph wind.

Hey everybody!
Thanks for the likes on recent posts. Everyone has been well hatted lately, tough to even try to fly straight and level when everyone else is blasting off into space!
Sunny but windy today. Felt tweedy (Tweedish?) so I busted out this relic from the 80's. Topped with a 60's to 70's Borsalino super stubby. And me, a relic from the 60's!

Yesterday was Palm Sunday (I am Eastern Orthodox). This is what I wore.

Notes:
  1. I know the hat band is messed up. I will have to buy a new one for the hat.
  2. The bowtie was tied by hand. I had not worn a bowtie in 24 years, and back then, all I wore was pre-tied. I may have to use a collar bar next time to stabilize the positioning of the tie.

Nicely done, ND1! Fruno's right AGAIN... A little steam or distilled water will allow you to satisfactorily fix the ribbon. I have no advice on your bowtie; it looks perfect to me!
