Wow, no offense to anyone but I haven't even worn a tie 100 times in my lifetime. If I had 100 ties I'd be having a garage sale, or making a gift to my local thrift store! Thanks Harv! I'm trying to get my 100+ ties out in the wild on occasion. Tuesday seemed appropriate.

Bob, I'm going to look you up sometime! We're too close to never meet in person. Are you a member or will you be attending this is in April?Jack -- No offense taken. I don't wear them either in real life so I'm looking for excuses. They all came from thrift stores so no major investment and I enjoy the hunting/gathering/collecting aspects. They are certainly cheaper than hats!

Hey everyone!
Looking sharp today, all.
Thank you for the likes and nice comments.
Last summer, I found a thrashed Resistol 4XB Western at the flea market. I cleaed it up, trimmed it down and bound the brim, but that was in the days before I made my block, rounding jack or owned a sewing machibe. I also tried to make it into a homburg. Needless to say, I wasn't overly thrilled with the results, so it sat unworn for months.
Last night, all my favorite shows were reruns, nothing on the DVR, so I busted out the poor old thing and reworked it into something I'm a little more likely to wear.
Crown is 5" as creased, 6" open. Brim is 2 1/4". My best brim binding do far. Thanks again tonyb for starting that brim binding how-to thread (and Art for adding to it!).
Have a great day!
Looks great! I wish I had some fingers instead of my 10 thumbs. I'd love to be able to give that kind of work a try.Hey everyone!
