Cane blocked the crown to 6" which is enough for this beautiful diamond and still keep it tall! Can't say enough about how nice this hat is.
Curious as to the standing height of the crown sides now as pictured? Thx Gabe.Cane blocked the crown to 6" which is enough for this beautiful diamond and still keep it tall! Can't say enough about how nice this hat is.

It is a beauty for sure! You guys are killing it today--so many great hats!
I picked up this Borsalino from Dinerman; he dates it--being far better at such things than I am--to the 20s.
it's a shame that he has to sell some of his collection, because this hat is gorgeous. Check out the stamping on this sweatband. It's embossed deeply as you can see.
Too bad it's my punim that goes under it--it rather detracts from the beautiful hat!

Don't know if finally is the correct word... since when I let it rest, I leave it open crown again.Nice!
I see you finally bashed the Biltmore.
It's nice but I would want one with a bigger crown and same brim size... sadly Resistol don't make them. Now Thats a Hat!
Damn... it fits. I don't think anyone can date it reliably, but pre-WWII makes it a very special find. Congratulations!
