Looking great everyone! Here's my choice, a late 40's or early-mid 50's stingy by Mr. Disney. Probably the latter, because the tip liner protector is plastic, not oilskin. It is unreeded, which is unusual for a hat of that era, I think, and has a unique sweatband joint - I have not seen this treatment before on any mass produced hat.

I'm not sure what the original crease looked like, but suspect that it was center dented with no pinch. I've given it a sort of sculpted look with a narrow centerdent and a pinch. The bow must have been reattached by an amateur at some point, as I note the front stitches are not the right color.

Thank you, mine Bob! I may ask you to re-crease the dome on mine. Yours today looks like a factory job; smooth, PERFECT!!

Thx. Charlie. I couldn't do a nice ribbon like that but my bash is ok for a newbie. The crease gave me a hard time and I'm done fooling aroun w it.

A vintage Adams Majestic Quality was my hat of choice for the morning commute. When I got to work I changed into my coaching costume. I am heading out for some errands and too tired to change. The Adams feels comfy in today's 50'F brisk weather. It is not a fashion forward look, fedora and coach outfit, but the selected head gear works well.

Green felt with different ribbon work. The Adams hats have excellent felt punching. They may have not chosen to market incredibly soft pliable felt in this hat, but it is quality.

The decorative button on the ribbon work is not up to the overall quality product. I believe I will continue looking for a replacement. As most of us hat afficiantoes, I will keep the original button and make the replacement reversible.

Here is a shot of the hat waiting for its ride home and ultimately, storage in my wardrobe. Box is just used as hat protection in the auto.

Hey everyone!
Nice bunch of hats today.
First day out in my new to me vintage 30's (I think) Dobbs "Manilan braid" that I scored on eBay. Lexol did a wonderful job of limbering up the dry sweat. Fits nicely now.

Mayser, I'll take a picture when I'm back in my workshop. It more of a midnight blue. Insanely hard to photograph though.

G.d ; thats a beauty! You and your hattitude!!

Moon, great hat Sir, and looks like you've got some great shirts too.

Moe, awesome. I like the ribbon too.

John, that's so nice. You look like you mean business too.

Miamibruno ; there you are with your smooth style. Again, love the swoop!

Sorry for those i forgot, it's just that there are so many!
All you guys are knocking it out of the parc today.

I had a particularly good hair day, so left the hat on the shelf.
Choices, choices...

Thanks Esther!

I'm off to court in a few minutes to report settlement of a case that I was set to try this afternoon. I'm dressed a bit more casually than I would be if we were going forward with the trial.

+1 on all and all that were missed.

I never have a good hair day (don't have that much) so I wear a hat daily:rolleyes:

Thanks Bob, and I'm liking that crease you have on the CD.

Excellent way to bring in Friday eve here on the right side of the States!

Richard the Bushman's a beaut, bud! Those sprinkles have just arrived here.

The Sportaire, mon frère, is without compare. Great lid, David!

Moon you're still leading the fold, or above the fold; definitely IN.

Johngalt the Disney's a delight, Dude. Seriously super!!

Mike that Twenty looks like a Million!

Moe my guess is that your great new Knox Milan is from the 1970s. But I was wrong once before. And I still LOVE that lid.

Eric I am, as always, envious of your hat holdings... That Adam is right for the Eve!!
