Thank you Daniele and Esther.

And Esther, there is an ocean of great stuff under the surface of recent threads on the Fedora Lounge. Here is the thread devoted to boaters. One of the beautiful things about such a constrained form is the rich variation in the details of weave and ribbon. Enjoy as you have time.

cheers,
Alan

Thank you Alan! I will check it out one of these days.
I made one about a year ago, navy crown with natural straw colored brim and a navy striped ribbon.

I didn't like it on, so never wore it.
I like boaters to be sort of chunky if you know what i mean

Hey everyone!
Digging the lid, tommyk!
Esther, the two-tone bow looks great.
Cool and foggy today, a relief from the hot and muggy. Going with Original No. 4, the Beach Bunny.

Hm. Our tastes run along the same frequency.

I've got to figure this hat thing out. I don't know what's right for me—but I know right when I see it on you ladies and gents. Great looking folks/hats one and all.

Unique boater, Alan. I like it a lot. I'm partial to that style of hat. Wish I had more occasions to wear one.

Trial and error Foamy. Keep in mind as you keep wearing your taste may change a bit but you'll eventually find a variety of hats that you'll like. If u can get to a hat store and try on different styles the process will become alot easier.

Beautiful hats today everyone.
Some I've seen before ... Some I had not.

Notable mentions - Harv, Alan, Fruno, Esther , Java , hato, moe....

Heart throb of the day for me is Tommy.... Tugging my heart strings with that one my man

I'm sure my hat will change when I get home and get ready for work .... But for right now it's this old beater Royal Stetson that I love dearly and wear for hikes with the dog and mowing the lawn and other activities that are particularly hard on a hat

... Oh and this is James ... He's hatless today
