Great hats today, everyone.

It's been a glorious day here in Ft. Worth (in the high 80's F this afternoon) I've been wearing my Worth & Worth Montecristi Panama most of the day.

This evening I headed downtown, St.Paul, MN, to Grand Avenue in my vtg. Stetson Avenue. I was treated to an acoustic blues performance by a buddy who was wearing the Stetson Whippet I gifted him. We were the sharpest hatted fellows at the venue. The only hatted ones for those who need more accuracy.

Very nice assortment of lids today, guys.

Mystic, that Airie is awesome! I really like that hat!

vmtrevino, I don't know which I like best, the Dobbs Milan or the Bar-B-Que. That Bar-B-Que's hard to beat!

David, looks like you're beating the FW heat with a classy looking Montecristi.

Eric, that's a really nice looking Stetson with all the classic styling. Nice one.

I've been working on this unknown Western for the past two Saturdays. I reblocked it once and it still had some taper to the crown that I wasn't satisfied with. I reblocked it again and was able to get most of the taper out. It's fairly straight sided now, but I'm still undecided on a ribbon choice. DOGMAN sent me some thin ribbons and I'm leaning toward this 3 ply I got from him. I just need to trim the tails and sew it on. I'll probably go with a simple knot rather than doing a bow....

It's Sunday, and Spring really seems to have finally made an appearance!

In a "camo" mode today, Black Sheep Hatworks dark moss, under the shadows.

Terry you got in as I typed. Sublimely perfect job on the "bow" of the ribbon. I really like it a lot; clean, uncluttered, really just perfect, man!!

Thanks for the comments on the Pedigree Airie guys.

Vintage light weighs are great summer hats, especially when showers can pop up at any time in the area. I have 3 and wear them all summer in Florida along with straws. Lighter than Milans and "breathe" as well if not better.

Nice color on the Dark Moss, Charlie

I like the 3-ply ribbed hat band, T J

Charlie I'm counting at least 3 layers you're wearing so I can't believe it's really spring, but I do like that dark moss color! That is a very old school hue that you just don't see much of (any of, really) on newer hats. The ribbon, at least on my monitor, looks to have a burgundy shade, and is an absolutely awesome complement to the color of the hat. That is a nice one.

TJ, great job on that one.

G.D. congrats on the new stratoliner!! Looks good and you are a natural in it.

TommyK also congrats on a couple of great looking new lids.

Moontheloon, welcome, I really dig the brim up look.

There have been a lot of fine hats posted here since I last sat down and went through this thread. I need to check it more often, it gets a little overwhelming if you get behind for a few days (or even a few hours).

Thanks so kindly, Dale. Truth is, I'm recovering from pneumonia and was a bit chilly despite the improving temps. This was quite a (lousy) surprise. But I've had more Lounge time... :D

Good morning from Minnesota. I have been moving fallen limbs and leaves this morning in a vtg. Stetson Stratoliner and a vtg. Stetson Open Road (20X Sovereign). Both hats got a serious brushing and steaming very early morning and have been hanging outside. Alternating between the 2 for my morning chores.

Terry, Charlie, Eric, looking good gents! I can't wait to see how the rest of the day unfolds!

My addition is my new moonstone Fed IV. This is my first perfect fitting Akubra that fit right out of the box. The felt is also nice and soft, not at all stiff.

Like an exhibitionist in a cold snap, you only give descriptions, Bob. Always terrific-sounding lids, though, and today's no exception!!

Lol. Thank you Mr Hats! Sorry but for the life of me I can't figure out how to post pics. I've tried at least 5x! I HAVE GIVEN UP!!!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, as photo posting always seems to be a stinker, initially. Next time I'm passing through Milford we'll offer a seminar.
