This Panizza is wonderful. I saw one similar when I was a boy and I still remember it.
I have to consult you Alan to have pictures of Italian hats that here are only faded memories.
Grazie!

Prego, my friend. I love the tortoise shell ventilation buttons.

This was a nice purchase along with a black Barbisio from the same store. Both 1950s hats, I would think.

Ted, I really like those "Bogart"-style fedoras. After your previous one from Northwest, I wrote to Mike but haven't heard back....

What a week o' hats, gentlemen!

David how could that Whippet be anything BUT a FANTASTIC travel partner.

Steve your Chevreau may sport my favorite ribbon work.

Alan that Panizza is just elegant. Beautiful. A gorgeous, casual hat for the man who (obviously) has more than one hat. And the fact that Daniele remembers seeing the style in his youth is just great; for many reasons!

Daniele your hat of today is my favorite of your hats so far! And if you remember a specific hat style like Alan's Panizza, from when you were a boy, WOW! You ARE a hat person, always and forever.

Josh your lid-work is just great, sir. And it really looks good on you!

Sweet Dobbs, Bert!! You really rock the stingies.

Harv the NW is beyond spectacular! Love that hat.

Sam you look very comfortable under that CD. And more fans of "The Jacket!"

G.Durand YOU look like the EXECUTIVE in front of that busy desk. Gorgeous lid!

jhe888 your Black sheep was worth waiting for. Beautiful!

Tedquinton the Bogart is classic, ClASSIC, CLASSIC. So perfect!

Joao, both wet and dry; super hats!

Jeff the Wormser look of yesterday was SUPER! THe Arnold today (below) is a spectacular topper, too! You never cease to amaze!

There hasn't been a bad hat on this thread! Oh, wait... wasn't there was one I had?!

Impressive, one and all!
Congrats on the Dobbs, Bert.
Gotta say bravissimo to Harv! That northwest never fails to give me a double take.

Went out with the Arnold hatters today. The hat itself isn't all that big, but still feels a little conspicuous. Oh well!

Wonderful day of hats everyone! I'll comment individually later! I've been trying a lot of my caps this week. Here is a tweed Stetson Hatteras.

You're definitely making NYC look better, Greg! My daughter just signed another lease there. Guess i'll be visiting Bencraft, JJ, Worth & worth, etc.

(going in sort of reverse order...)

David, wow, that Whippet is looking crisp and immaculate for a travel hat!

Bowlerman, the Arnold looks very good on you!

Mayser, that Hückel Chevreau color is rich and subtle, and the ribbon is super-class, wonderful!

Howard, I know what you mean about the vintage Dobbs. Mine, which I will wear this coming week, is one of my favorite hats!

Josh, I really like the tall, straight crown and the way the brim is flanged. Simple and striking!

Alan, I like the Panizza's vent-holes. I'm coming to wish that more hats had them. And I just never know what you'll come up with next!

Daniele, I agree about the balance in that hat. It almost looks like an American cut!

Casechopper, the Akubra tops off the look really nicely. Red Wings?

Harv, that "Whippet" is the bomb! I like the narrow edging on the brim.

Ted, you rock the Bogart look. The noirish is about my favorite fedora style.

Joao, during the week I can't often change hats in the middle of the day. I commute and wear the same hat from 8:00am to sometime in the evening. So I like the 2-hat/day pictures, and appreciate the different moods even among the same Western genre... BTW, I don't have any Western hats here in NYC, but I grew up wearig them every summer in Oregon. My grandfather wore silverbelly Open Roads to town, but a variety of others on his ranch and out hunting. Western films are one of my favorite movie genres, and one of my favorite pieces of literary criticism is about Western literature (Cawelti's "Six-Gun Mystique").

150719541, I like the stingy and cool Shagolino!

Tommy, thanks for another Open Road reminder! :)

Eric, I can see the "gill" bow model in your back seat - love it! I commute on the subway, so no hats in the back seat. But the last time we did a road trip, I hogged half the storage with hat boxes!!

Great looking BB, Joao.
Thank you Harv.

I like the shape of the blue one Joao.
Thank you. I think it had a cattleman crease but I changed it.

Joao, both wet and dry; super hats!
Thank you!

Because I work near home, I can lunch everyday in my parents house and if I have to work in the afternoon, I can change hats.
Today for example was a 3 hat day!

In the morning I wore this "silver" Stagecoach.

Because I hadn't gone to work on the afternoon, I went to the bank so I changed to a... "more stingy" hat, this Stetson No 1 Quality with 3.5" brim and thin ribbon/cord as I didn't want to scare people out. ;)

And after that I went on a drive with a friend to pick up another friend 100 kilometers away so he could return to his home in Scotland tomorrow, I changed again to this good old big black Stetson from the 60's.

3 different occasions (work/bank/drive), 3 different hats (Resistol Stagecoach/Stetson No1 Quality/60's Stetson)

Ted, very nice Bogart!

Harv, your whippet is fantastic! Great color, and sweet sweater as well!

Sam, fine lid choice, but that jacket is killer! Great look!

Daniele, and a fine color at that! Looks great

Alan, I hope to see that one more often. Absolutely flawless!

Bert, great hat, and ride!

Steve, I am really enjoying the ribbon work on that one. Looks to have some soft felt!

David, definitely a fine all around lid!

Jeff, awesome Arnold!!

Greg, nice cap! The glasses are slick!

Joao, the three westerneers? I like 'Em all!
